April Stevens - Carousel Dreams CD

 APRIL STEVENS - A DREAM GIRL FOR SURE
"Carousel Dreams" is the title song of the album, and it is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Miss Stevens sings it will great emotion and meaning, and it brings tears to my eyes whenever I play this cd, which is often. There are other classic tunes on the cd such as "How Did He Look", "I Remember", "Please Be Gentle", and "Once Upon A Very Special Time". Ten songs in all, ten good reasons to buy this cd. A bonus: Nino Tempo produced the music. Thank you April Stevens, for your beautiful song stylings and fine talent.

 Totally Gorgeous Music!
This album displays the wonderful vocal talent of a singer who first came to the public's attention in the early 1950's. Her voice is still magnificent on this album. My favorite tracks on this album are "I Never Loved Anyone Like I Love You", (written by her brother and one or two other people, including the great Cynthia Weill, who used to write with Barry Mann, to whom she was married), and the medley of "Born Again/Could It Be Magic".

 APRIL'S GREAT ANY TIME OF YEAR
My fiance gave me this CD for my birthday. I never heard of April Stevens before, but I sure don't know why. She has one of the most unqiue voices I ever heard, and all of the songs on this cd are among the very prettiest I ever heard. Once Upon A Very Special Time is of course my favorite, but so is Carousel Dreams and Be Gentle Tonight. This is one cd I will treasure forever. Thank you Danny (my handsome fiance!) for giving this wonderful listening experience to me, and thank you April Stevens for being everything you are - fantastic in a word.

 BEAUTIFUL SONGSTYLES FROM BEAUTIFUL APRIL!
"CAROUSEL DREAMS" is the name of this CD, but also one of the songs included by one of America's finest song stylists, Miss April Stevens. The title song is haunting and poignant, but a number of the other selections are as well. This is a collection of love songs, some happier than others, but all very romantic, and Miss Stevens never sounded better. Other standout numbers in this CD are "Be Gentle Tonight," "To Sleep Perchance to Dream", and "I Remember" (sung in Spanish, yet!) If you're looking for fine performances of beautiful tunes with lyrics you can understand, buy "CAROUSEL DREAMS" - you'll love it.
