BLOOM was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album. Audio Adrenaline uses the term "NuRock" to refer to its particular recipe of punk, thrash, straightahead rock and softer rock ballads, with Christian metaphors and ... Full Descriptionunwavering spirituality sprinkled throughout. BLOOM is NuRock at its most accessible, with a strong alterna-pop sensibility but not without the intensity, speed and edginess of Audio Adrenaline's previous albums.
Lyrically, there is no doubt about where the band's inspiration and interests lie. In "Walk On Water," Mark Stuart sings, "If I keep my eyes on Jesus I can walk on water/If I keep my eyes on him I can walk on water just like Peter." This unwavering faith is continally reaffirmed in an appealingly unapologetic guitar-churning context, and often with an inviting blend of wit and humility--as on "Never Gonna Be As Big As Jesus," in which Stuart fantasizes, "I could move to Hollywood/Get my teeth capped/I know I could be a big star on the silver screen/Just like James Dean," and then concludes, "Never gonna be as big as Jesus/Never gonna hold the world in my hand."
Recorded at Ardent Recordings, Memphis, Tennessee; The Salt Mine, Brentwood, Tennessee; House Of Insomnia, Franklin, Tennessee.
Engineers: John Hampton, Erick Flettrich, John Painter, Jef Curtiss.
Audio Adrenaline: Barry Blair, Bob Herdman, Will McGinniss, Mark Stuart.

| Bloom Music Review Average Rating: (3.3 out of 5 stars) Classic Christian 90's Rock Album Audio Adrenaline stepped it up big time with this monster of the mid-90's. It was one of the best albums of time and a great hard-rock, pop album. They've never rocked as hard since, so pick it up if you've only heard their albums since this release. Trin-I-Tee 5:7 has always skillfully bridged the worlds of gospel and mainstream contemporary R&B by applying their slinky, TLC-like sound to messages of Christian faith. T57 is their most successful synthesis of the two genres to date. Produced by Walter Milsap, who helped craft the sounds of Alicia Keyes and Yolanda Adams, T57 has all the polish and glamour of most radio-tailored ...

| | Mercyme Almost There CD (2001)
Bloom album
$12.15 ALMOST THERE is state-of-the-art worship rock from the wittily named quintet whose major label debut this is. Mercyme have an almost '80s style, and unless you listen closely to their lyrics you could mistake ALMOST THERE for something by the Alarm or a late effort by Big Country. Their popularity attests to seven years of hard work (they have half a dozen independent albums to their credit) and the burgeoning US worship music scene.
Though some may find the worship genre disconcertingly one-dimensional, Mercyme have an original way with a lyric, rendering songs like "How Great Is Your Love" and "Bless Me Indeed (Jabez's Song)" fresh and inspirational, while the shining simplicity of a song like "Cannot Say Enough" speaks volumes. The album-closer, the soaring "In You," with its string accompaniment, is a fitting summation to this devotional set of rock tunes, recalling none other than the end of the Beatles' ...

$15.19 Sara Cavaiola BioThis tiny Northern up-roar Sara Cavaiola continues to make an impact on the Canadian music scene. Although Sara grew up in the greater Toronto area, most of her musical influences derive from the UK-listening to the likes of Oasis, The Kinks, and The Beatles. By the time Sara turned 18, she received her first guitar from the Pickering Flea Market. Most of Sara’s early years were spent convincing local venues to let her on stage.A pivotal moment in Sara’s career came in the summer of 2005. While attending a songwriting workshop in Toronto, Sara became inspired to write her first six song EP entitled “Lemonade Daze”. She even met some of Canada’s greatest songwriters such as “Andy Kim” (Sugar, Sugar, and Rock Me Gently) and “Ron Sexsmith”. Sara believes there are only two types of music in the world: good music and bad music. “If it has a great melody and you can sing to it it’s a hit”. Sara also believes that being a musician is one thing, songwriting is another. Sara is self-taught on the piano and guitar. Also, she is said to have a unique voice and brilliant stage presence. Sara can often be found between Toronto and Montreal entertaining family and friends. She hopes to one day be seen as a great songwriter. Her biggest aspiration is to take over the radio.Presently Sara has just completed her first CD, which ...
