| Miss Gloria Lynne Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Long Lost Love Song My mother had this album in the late 50's. I loved all the songs, but especially "Little Fingers". When my daughter was born in 1963, I used to sing a phrase from it,"...I'll remember when you're older, and your head has reached my shoulders, how I used to call you 'little fingers'..". For years I have searched for an album with this song, but for whatever reason thought it was Dinah Washington--more proof that Gloria Lynne didn't receive the recognition she should have had. It was just by chance I found it on your site. I'm so thrilled at finding it. Thanks for making it easy. Submitted by Pat K. (Las Vegas, NV, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
GREAT!! GREAT!! GREAT!!!!!
There is no other like Gloria Lynne, it's such a great shame that she hasn't
gotten the reconition that she so richly deserves. Shame on the music industry and the media for their lack of attention for such a great talent !! Submitted by Feleria1212 (Philadelphia, PA, USA ")) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Dan Hicks Where's The Money? CD (1971)
Miss Gloria Lynne album
$9.19 Their self-titled debut had been released two years earlier, but 1971's WHERE'S THE MONEY? launched Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks into their brief time in the spotlight. Few acts choose to offer up a live release so early in their career, but it was a wise move for this outfit. This set captures their jazzy charm and lilting nostalgia, as well as the sardonic wit of their leader.
Dan Hicks's songwriting influences are wide-ranging, drawing on Django Reinhardt's cabaret flair, Western swing, romantic pop, and more. He can be resonantly emotional as on "News From Up the Street" and "Is This My Happy Home?" and offhandedly casual as with "Traffic Jam," the title track, and "By Hook or By Crook." Warmly recorded, the interplay of the band is inviting ...
