Freyda & Acoustic Atta Tude - Midnight at Cabell Hall CD

 Evening of Strings a wonderful addition
Freyda and the Acoutics Atta Tude underscores the Joni Mitchell line, "You don't know what you got til its gone." Freyda Epstein's untimely passing now six years ago (2003), left us all poorer and this cd provides more proof if needed. The twelve tunes with long-time collaborator Ralph Gordon on bass and Bob Vasile on guitar, cittern and vocals begin on a high point with Nancy Griffith's "Time Alone" and soar upward from there. The music was recorded in Old Cambell Hall at the University of Virgina live with no overdubbing. Liner notes will provide audiophiles a great description of recording techniques that really allows the instrumentation to sing.
