(1 Customer Review)
Out of print in the U.S.! International edition of the 1992 compilation from the British duo. Originally lumped in with the many other Synth Pop duos of the early '80s, TFF were always far more intelligent and thought-provoking than their contemporaries. By the time of their second album, Songs From The Big Chair, in 1984, the world caught up with them and they became international superstars. 12 tracks including 'Change', 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World', 'Head Over Heels', 'Mad World', 'Mothers Talk', 'Pale Shelter', 'Shout', 'Sowing The Seeds Of Love' and more. Universal.
Producers: Tears For Fears, David Bascombe, Chris Hughes, Ross Cullum, Tim Palmer.

Tears Roll Down (The Hits 1982-92)
$16.99 Queen began life in 1972, formed by guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor, and bassist Tim Staffell. When Staffell left, May and Taylor elected to form a new band with vocalist Freddie Mercury. Bassist John Deacon completed the lineup. Their self-titled debut fused 70s glam and late 60s heavy rock, and their second album fulfilled their early promise. SHEER HEART ATTACK consolidated their commercial standing. In 1975, they completed the seven-minute mini-opera "Bohemian ...

$12.05 "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" won the 1994 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male; and TEN SUMMONER'S TALES won the 1994 Grammy Award for Engineered Album, Nonclassical. "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" was also nominated for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year; and TEN SUMMONER'S TALES was nominated for Album Of The Year.
Mr. "Sheer Profundity" delivered a stunning fourth solo album that probably surprised himself as well as the critics who were prepared to watch his fall from grace after the seeming failure of the intense THE SOUL CAGES. Right from the opener, "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You," ...

Tears Roll Down (The Hits 1982-92)
$14.45 Hall & Oates, once synonymous with trendsetting, radio-friendly eighties pop music, join forces again after years of mostly solo experimentation. The result is an exciting comeback album of pure pop which is occasionally reminiscent of the duo's best early-eighties hits, but which also incorporates new sounds. Check out the exotic, Indian-influenced percussion on "Marigold Sky," Dave Stewart's Eurythmic-style wailing guitar on "Romeo is Bleeding" and "Love Out Loud," and the hints of hip-hop rhythms scattered throughout. This is Hall & Oates nineties style, turning their smooth, soul-flavored harmonies in a more contemporary direction. The lyrics of "Time Won't Pass Me By" seem especially appropriate: "I think the sun was in my eyes/This time the time won't pass me by/Lucky on the second try/This time the time won't pass me by."
The album was originally released in 1997, from the ...

| | ABBA Gold: Greatest Hits CD (2004)
Tears Roll Down (The Hits 1982-92)
$10.79 In seemingly random order, GOLD contains fourteen of Abba's twenty American hits (the remainder are on MORE ABBA GOLD); which is to say, it contains fourteen of the most delectable pop productions of the '70s and early '80s. "Dancing Queen," "Waterloo," "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and the other landmarks of upbeat melancholy are complex concoctions--all layered harmonies and brilliant keyboard arrangements. These songs don't easily fit into any pop timeline, which may be why Abba received much of their acclaim long after breaking up. What may have seemed like Euro-pop fluff in its day, has been revealed by time to be truly classic studio pop.
The Swedish band's songs had show-tune and '60s-pop roots, skirted around the edge of disco, and were an unspoken influence on new wave. Without them, ...

Tears Roll Down (The Hits 1982-92)
$14.29 "Simply animalistic - the TriSonics set off a fireworks of classic Rock'n'Roll!" That's what Germany's renowned Sueddeutsche Zeitung had to say. While in Greece they claim the group has a tendency to set their audiences "on fire", a British journalist succinctly wrote "I love this". But is this the whole story? Imagine a night club. The sign on the club door says ...
