Recorded between 1928-1930, it features Rudy Vallee with The Connecticut Yankees and his earlier band, The Yale Collegians.

One of the first American singer/actors to garner the title "crooner," Rudy Vallee won over a huge following in the late 1920s and early '30s with his hushed-yet-resonant vocal style. (In fact, he often employed a megaphone so that the crowds at his concerts could hear him.) This well-selected 20-track compilation presents many entertaining vintage recordings, including the lightly swinging "Heigh-Ho, Everybody! (Heigh-Ho)" and the humorously romantic "Let's Do It," making this disc an excellent introduction to the revered singer, who greatly influenced successors such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra.
