Digitally remastered by Elliott Federman (SAJE Sound, New York, New York).
Dr. Seuss Presents Green Eggs & Ham is the second of three volumes collecting the good doctor's most memorable rhymes, stories and songs. Over an hour of Seuss' material from Green Eggs & Ham and other titles is collected here, including such brain and tongue twisters as "Green Eggs & Ham," "Yertle The Turtle," "Rabbit, The Bear And The Zinniga-Zinniga," and "Bartholomew And The Oobleck." A wonderful collection that spotlights Dr. Seuss' magical way with words and music. ~ Heather Phares

Dr. Seuss Presents: Green Eggs & Ham album
$11.65 The fourth of four CD reissues taken from Art Pepper's three nights at the Village Vanguard in July 1977, as with the other releases, adds one selection ("Scrapple from the Apple") to the music of the original LP; all of the performances on this and the other sets have since been made available as part of a massive nine-CD box set. The great altoist was clearly excited to be playing at the famous New York club, and his rhythm section -- pianist George Cables, bassist George Mraz and drummer Elvin Jones -- consistently stimulates his imagination. This release has more variety than usual, for in addition to his alto playing (including a memorable unaccompanied solo on "Over the Rainbow"), Pepper switches to clarinet for the lengthy "More for Les" and interprets the ballad "These Foolish Things" on tenor. The nine-CD set is essential for Art Pepper fanatics, but those just wanting a taste of the great altoist's talents will be satisfied with this release. ~ Scott Yanow

| Rosie O'Donnell Rosie Christmas CD (1999)
Dr. Seuss Presents: Green Eggs & Ham CD music
$7.29 All profits from A ROSIE CHRISTMAS are donated to The For All Kids Foundation.
Actually, this collection of holiday duets is more like "A Very Middlebrow Christmas," but since talk show diva O'Donnell can actually sing (in an endearingly New Yawkish way), and since the the proceeds all go to her For All Kids charity foundation, why be churlish? Actually, this high-gloss album has genuine moments of wit and more soul than you'd expect. The influence of ultimate Christmas album auteur Phil Spector hovers around several songs, particularly the contributions by Celine Dion and Trisha Yearwood. ...

Dr. Seuss Presents: Green Eggs & Ham music CDs
$14.59 Filled to the to the top of the pint glass with spirited and rousing versions of classic Irish tunes both traditional and contemporary, the Young Dubliners' With All Due Respect feels like a raucous night out with friends. Hastily but immaculately recorded, each cut has an energy that transcends the overall sameness of the production. Like Flogging Molly without the distortion, the Young Dubliners tear through two Pogues tunes ("If I Should Fall from Grace with God" and "Pair of Brown Eyes") and a flurry of pub classics -- including "Foggy Dew" and "Rocky Road to Dublin" -- that are as earthy as they are electrifying. ...
| | North Mississippi Allstars Hernando CD (2008)
Dr. Seuss Presents: Green Eggs & Ham songs
$10.89 Fittingly named after the Mississippi town in which Cody and Luther Dickinson and Chris Chew all grew up, HERNANDO is the roadhouse trio's most personal record. It's also their finest. Recorded at their own Zebra studios (aka "The Barn") by Cody and Luther's father, legendary Memphis producer Jim Dickinson, and released on their own label, Songs of the South Records, the album has a warmth and earthiness that suggest comfort in their own skin and surroundings.
Most importantly, though, HERNANDO is the first North Mississippi All-Stars record to break out of the blues tribute-band mold and reveal their biggest influences: '70s classic rock, '80s metal, and '90s grunge, the same stuff every pot-smoking teenager in America cut their teeth on. "Eaglebird" grooves ...
