Even if you didn't see or like the movie, but, love Streisand, you'll love this. It's one of the most moving CD's you'll ever hear. She's at her best!

Great soundtrack. Reminds me of the movie, which is not available now but I heard it was coming out in 2005 on DVD.

That's what I call service
From the minute I placed the order until I received the CD, I was notified exactly in which position my order was in its process of delivery. There was no need for me to contactCD universe to see ifthey actually have lost my details etc. since the service was impecible even though I justordered one CD. The CD quality is great.

I cought the Barbra Streisand fan bug after hearing Yentl from amongst my partners collection, never being much of a fan, this album changed my mind.
Her writing and singing talent is awsome and I consider this work to be the one that heads any list.

I love Barbra Streisand and this was my favorite of her's. I love all of her stuff but this one reaches out to me as an observor.

DREAMS is a 4-CD box set compiling in chronological order tracks by the Allman Brothers Band, as well as tracks by bands featuring one or more member of the Allman Brothers Band and solo performances by Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts.
Recorded between 1966 & 1988. Includes a 32-page illustrated booklet and liner notes by John Swenson.
Like nearly all box sets, DREAMS has plenty to recommend it-and a few nagging drawbacks. The set's chief shortcoming is its two conflicting goals: providing an overview of the Allmans' history, thus attracting buyers seeking the ultimate hits package, and including enough unreleased tracks and rarities to appeal to the band's most devoted fans. As a result, DREAMS is neither the definitive Allman Brothers collection nor the gift to hardcore fans that, say, THE BOOTLEG SERIES is to Dylan-philes.
DREAMS' strengths are considerable. First and foremost, the box contains nearly five wall-to-wall hours of great music. By including everything from early demos to Gregg Allman and Dickie Betts' solo material, DREAMS does a great job of tracing the group's musical evolution from hippie blues band to kings of Southern rock. And, while the unreleased studio version of "Statesboro Blues" included here isn't definitive, it's still mighty good-as are the set's other rarities. Start your Allman Brothers collection with THE FILLMORE CONCERTS; if that grabs you, DREAMS should also find a welcome place on your CD shelf.

This is a compilation of earlier hits which includes a previously unreleased track from the show "Cats".
What makes this album unique, and ultimately appealing, is that it's not your run-of-the mill "10 biggest hits." An example is "The Love Inside;" a phenomenal song from "Guilty" that was lost in the shuffle of the duets with Barry Gibb. Including it exposes the listener to an unseen side of Streisand. Another example of a great non-hit is "New York State Of Mind". Barbra's jazzy rendition of the Billy Joel tune is fabulous and clearly worthy of inclusion on this record.
Also making MEMORIES special is the inclusion of songs recorded for the album. "Memory" (the theme from Cats) was previewed on this record before the Broadway run began and is an excellent leadoff track. "Comin' In And Out Of Your Life" was also recorded for this compilation and is one ...
