Also available in a 3-pack with DIARY OF A MADMAN and BARK AT THE MOON. Ozzy Osbourne's 1983 release, BARK AT THE MOON, revealed that keyboards were becoming an integral ingredient in his music. On his next release, THE ULTIMATE SIN, ... Full Descriptionkeyboards were used even more extensively, resulting in Ozzy's most commercially accessible work. Despite the fact that many longtime fans resented the album's pop-metal leanings, THE ULTIMATE SIN became Osbourne's fastest-selling album to that point. It was also the last Ozzy Osbourne album to feature guitarist Jake E. Lee.
The most renowned song on THE ULTIMATE SIN remains the popular video/single "Shot in the Dark." Other standouts included the anti-nuclear war tracks "Thank God for the Bomb" and "Killer of Giants" (the latter was the album's working title for quite some time), as well as the title track and "Lightning Strikes," which were both popular MTV videos as well. Although Ozzy enjoyed his greatest commercial success to that point with this record, he returned to his more familiar heavy metal tendencies of yore on his next studio release, 1989's NO REST FOR THE WICKED.
Digitally remastered by Brian Lee & Bob Ludwig.

Ultimate Sin album
$17.95 Released in September 1982, DEVIL is Ozzy's third solo album and first live one. Recorded at NYC's Ritz, it closes a chapter in Ozzy's career with an all-Black Sabbath set, actually competing against his former bandmates as they released LIVE EVIL just a few months later. Ozzy's performance is as spirited as ever, and the Sabbath classics come across tight and rock solid.
Opening with "Symptom Of The Universe," one of the finest metal compositions ever, the album pulls you into Ozzy's wacky and twisted world for the duration of the show. This remastered edition (with superb clarity) features the previously omitted "Sweet Leaf," Sabbath's ode to herbal remedy. Osbourne's last recorded song with Sabbath, the ironically titled ...

Ultimate Sin CD music
$8.59 Digitally remastered by Brian Lee and Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering Studios, Inc.).
Ozzy Osbourne's world tour for 1989's NO REST FOR THE WICKED was another sold-out success for metal's beloved madman. It marked the first tour appearance of new guitarist Zakk Wylde, the second of drummer Randy Castillo, and the return of former Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler. As a tribute to the thousands of fans who packed arenas, Ozzy decided to re-record six fan favorites live in the studio with his new band, and issued it in early 1990 under the name JUST SAY OZZY.
Made up of four solo hits and two Black Sabbath classics, JUST SAY OZZY is an authentic representation of what the short-lived Osbourne-Butler-Wylde-Castillo line-up sounded like live. Ozzy actually stated in the press around the time of the EP's release that he much preferred the version of his 1986 hit "Shot In the Dark" included here over the original. Also included are three songs ...

$13.65 "I Don't Want To Change The World" won the 1994 Grammy Award for "Best Metal Performance With Vocal."
Billed as his final solo tour, Ozzy Osbourne's world tour in support of his 1991 hit album NO MORE TEARS was one of his most successful. To document this exceptional tour, a live double CD of standout performances was released in 1993, LIVE & LOUD. While Ozzy would tour again (as both a solo act and with a reformed Black Sabbath), this particular road jaunt would prove to be the last for the Osbourne-Wylde-Inez-Castillo line-up.
Comprised of favorites from both his solo career and his Black Sabbath years, LIVE & LOUD is a well-balanced set. The set kicks off with a roaring version of "Paranoid," and the energy rarely dies down from there. Standouts like "I Don't Know," "Bark at the Moon," "Shot in the Dark," "Miracle Man," "Crazy Train," ...

Ultimate Sin album
$16.05 GARAGE INC. includes the GARAGE DAYS RE-REVISITED EP as well as rare B-sides and newly recorded covers.
Disc one recorded at The Plant Studios, Sausalito, California in September & October 1998. Disc two recorded at various locations between 1984 and 1998. Includes liner notes by David Fricke.
"Whiskey In The Jar" won the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance.
Anybody who's anybody in rock has been in a cover band. Although "cover" has a negative connotation, it is the playing of others' material that forges the identity and agenda of future superstars. Every recorded cover tune from Metallica plus 11 newly recorded covers are included in this double-CD set. They combine to give fans a glimpse into the wide variety of influences that have shaped metal's mightiest band.
Disc one is the new material, and Metallica place their undeniable stamp on each track. Transforming Bob Seger's midtempo "Turn the Page" into a real rocker, and converting Nick Cave's "Loverman" into sheer brutality. Closer to the mark of Metallica's style, a Mercyful Fate medley retains the spirit of the original. James Hetfield's growls give an extra dose of attitude to Thin Lizzy's "Whiskey In The Jar," while an acoustic radio station jam of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Tuesday's Gone" is a southern delight. Disc 2 contains GARAGE DAYS ...

$30.99 This Japanese release contains the bonus track "The Extremist."
On CRYSTAL PLANET Satch provides his fans with exactly what they've come to expect: crunching riffs, soaring melodies, chord changes and solos from heaven. He deviates little from such past releases as THE EXTREMIST and SURFING WITH THE ALIEN, and as the saying goes: "if it ain't broke". That's not to say he doesn't stay contemporary, as "Raspberry Jam Delta-V" effectively dabbles in electronica as subtle background noise.
"Love Thing" is a beautiful ballad and potential single, and Satch is able to make the guitar "talk". There are also elements of funk ("A Piece Of Liquid") and metal ("With Jupiter ...

Ultimate Sin Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews A great album, unduly panned Wasn't "Shot in the Dark" a #1 single, for The Ozzman? I pretty much thought ALL of the tracks were good. It's no BLIZZARD OF OZZ or NO REST FOR THE WICKED, but it was nicely done, by Ozzy -- a definate winner. I would reccomend buying it. I think it should have been included in the remasters, but then, I have several complaints about tho 2002 Epic Records remasters. One of The Madman's Best !! This albums features Ozzy in the prime of his career. He approached this album with a great attitude , but we all know that didn't last long. soon after this was cut , Ozzy fired Jake E. Lee. The songs are awesome. I would recommend this to the budding musicians out there. Submitted by will_cratch (Washington, NC, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Highly underrated While this album doesn't rank with "Blizzard of Ozz", "Diary of a Madman", or "No More Tears", it is one of Ozzy's best. It was a definite improvement over the so-so "Bark at the Moon" and it was much better than "No Rest for the Wicked" and "Ozzmosis" (although, the fact is, that the next bad Ozzy album will be the first. "Killer of Giants" was one of his best ever songs. It really disappointed me that he didn't include a single song from "Ultimate Sin" on his greatest hits album.
