Digitally remastered by Brian Lee and Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering Studios, Inc.).
Ozzy Osbourne's world tour for 1989's NO REST FOR THE WICKED was another sold-out success for metal's beloved madman. It marked the first tour appearance of new guitarist Zakk Wylde, the second of drummer Randy Castillo, and the return of former Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler. As a tribute to the thousands of fans who packed arenas, Ozzy decided to re-record six fan favorites live in the studio with his new band, and issued it in early 1990 under the name JUST SAY OZZY.
Made up of four solo hits and two Black Sabbath classics, JUST SAY OZZY is an authentic representation of what the short-lived Osbourne-Butler-Wylde-Castillo line-up sounded like live. Ozzy actually stated in the press around the time of the EP's release that he much preferred the version of his 1986 hit "Shot In the Dark" included here over the original. Also included are three songs from NO REST FOR THE WICKED, "Miracle Man," "Bloodbath in Paradise," and "Tattooed Dancer," as well as the Sabbath nuggets (and all-time heavy metal anthems) "Sweat Leaf" and "War Pigs." While other live Osbourne releases like TRIBUTE and SPEAK OF THE DEVIL are better, Ozzy worshippers will enjoy JUST SAY OZZY.

| Just Say Ozzy Music Review Average Rating: (3.3 out of 5 stars) Love it or hate it... The selection of songs on this one is poor but you'll never hear a better version of shot in the dark. Not to mention, love it or hate it, Zakk Wylde was at his best on this one. He will never sound this good live again. Submitted by a reviewer (Sarnia, On.) Was This Review Helpful? Average. Didn't realize it was live version. It was OK but don't like the live versions as much. Submitted by marilyn.coffey (Queens NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A good live record by Ozzy Although the selection is very short, this is an EP! the best tracks are miracle man, Shot in the dark, Sweet Leaf and War pigs. the playing is crazy especially Zak and Castillo. Butler is at his best. Ozzy, like the usual, is going crazy. although recorded during No rest for the wicked tour, I didn't like tattoted dancer and bloodpath in paradise. he should threw in something else! worth the try but you'll get tired of it in a while! | | Katatonia Night Is The New Day CD (2009)
Just Say Ozzy CD music
$14.29 The latest album from Swedish doom rockers Katatonia, their first studio effort since 2006, is as moody and beautiful as their other latter-day work. The group's career can be marked in two stages based on the condition of singer Jonas Renske's vocal cords -- basically, after the band's first two albums, he developed health problems that prevented him from performing harsh death growls, and ever since the band has moved in an increasingly melodic direction, ...
| | Epica Design Your Universe CD (2009)
Just Say Ozzy music CDs
$13.39 Dutch pomp-metal band Epica, fronted by classically trained mezzo-soprano Simone Simons, released their second album for Nuclear Blast only a year after their label debut, the more unique The Classical Conspiracy. That two-disc live set found them performing a mix of classical works and their own songs with backing by a full orchestra and choir. This album offers more of their bombastic goth metal songs, with Simons' vocals floating atop an ever flowing stream of complicated drumming, epic riffs, and shredtastic solos. ...

| | Heavy Metal CD (1981) Original Soundtrack
Just Say Ozzy album
$6.09 The title Heavy Metal is somewhat misleading. Sure, this terrific soundtrack from the 1981 animated cult favorite features heavy metal and hard rock numbers. But the title refers to National Lampoon's sci-fi/fantasy magazine on which the film is based. Musically, Heavy Metal offers more than the title suggests, and the songs fit perfectly with their respective film segments. Heavy Metal was originally a double album, but at 62 minutes it fits just fine on one CD. Sixteen songs are contributed by Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Cheap Trick, Devo, Donald Fagen, Don Felder, Grand Funk Railroad, Sammy Hagar, Journey, Nazareth, Stevie Nicks, Riggs, and Trust; Cheap Trick, Felder, and Riggs each provide two. Most songs are exclusive to this soundtrack. The best-known song here is Journey's ballad "Open Arms." Blue Oyster Cult's darkly menacing "Veteran of the Psychic Wars" is a haunting gem. Devo's quirky, new wave interpretation of the Allen Toussaint-penned "Working ...
| | Iron Maiden Killers CD (1981) Enhanced CD
Just Say Ozzy CD music
$13.75 KILLERS is based on more straight-ahead heavy metal, departing from Iron Maiden's 1980 self-titled debut, which had more of a punk edge (a facet often cited as an important stepping stone for "thrash metal" years later). Nonetheless the first album was a huge surprise hit in the band's native England, debuting within the Top Five upon release. The group's second release one year later, KILLERS sets its sights on making inroads in America, ...
| | Exodus Pleasures Of The Flesh CD (1987) Remastered
Just Say Ozzy music CDs
$7.99 Despite their crucial involvement in the development of thrash metal, by 1987 San Francisco's Exodus were playing a desperate game of catch-up. Upstarts Metallica had first stolen their thunder, then their guitarist; and after a yearlong delay that rendered their seminal debut, Bonded by Blood, rather archaic, the group experienced a tumultuous lineup change with the departure of founding vocalist Paul Baloff and the arrival of ex-Testament singer Steve Souza. By and large, the throat-shredding vocal styles of both frontmen were pretty much interchangeable, but the difference in songwriting quality between the aforementioned Bonded by Blood and its dismal successor, Pleasures of the Flesh, was quite astounding. Truth is, except for the rather memorable title track, ...
