Producers include: Teamstas, DJ Scratch, Jay D, Shock, Swizz Beatz. "Fire" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video. Busta Rhymes is undoubtedly one of the best and most distinctive rappers of the '90s. He's also one of the most prolific; Anarchy, released in the summer of 2000, is his fourth album since 1996. Each one has been jammed full of material and also a little erratic, packed not only with great singles and tongue-twisting performances but also filler that gets by mostly on Busta's personality. Clocking in at around 78 minutes, Anarchy is no exception to the rule. Its best moments are as brilliant as ever, but there are also signs that Busta's winning formula is starting to show a little wear and tear. "C'Mon All My Niggaz, C'Mon All My Bitches" has the insanely rapid-fire delivery of E.L.E.'s "Gimme Some More," which sums up the difficulty of Anarchy in a nutshell: no matter how incredible it is, we've heard much of this from Busta before. Of course, the converse is also true: a lot of it is still incredible, no matter how familiar, and there are a few intriguing production touches. But, perhaps for the first time, Busta's singular yet now familiar style isn't quite enough to carry the weaker material, which often feels too tossed off. It doesn't help, either, that Anarchy follows the same sort of millennial-apocalypse concept that enlivened E.L.E. (and, to a certain extent, When Disaster Strikes); it's a little disappointing to hear such an inventive rapper retreading familiar territory. It seems almost impossible that Busta could produce a true failure, but by this point, a growing number of fans may not salivate over a new album nearly as much as the inevitable best-of collection. ~ Steve Huey Busta Rhymes is an artist who never seems to forget how to make a hit record. His fifth solo album ANARCHY displays more of that infallibility, and further proves that the New York-native's longevity in hip-hop is well deserved. On the first single, "Get Outta Here," Busta employs the same style of kiddie chorus that blew up Jay-Z's "Hard Knock Life." The song is calmer than his previous leadoff singles, but don't fret; the follow-up, "Fire," brings the heat as only Busta can. With production by Rockwilder, Swizz Beatz, and others, Busta Rhymes' ANARCHY may easily become another classic.Rolling Stone (7/20/00, pp.136,139) - 3 stars out of 5 - "...Fist-pumping, wildin'-out energy, full of joints for Busta's real live niggas to turn way the ['F'] up....[His] explosive charisma and on-point mic skills can make lyrical content irrelevant..." Q (8/00, p.105) - 3 stars out of 5 - "...Rhymes conjures up an entertaining, aggressive party vibe, albeit with a few surprises." Mixmag (8/00, p.171) - 4 out of 5 - "...A happy return to form....a diverse collection of tunes in terms of production, styles and content, woven together by Busta's unmistakable mic skills....ANARCHY promises dancefloor hits galore....his best since THE COMING." CMJ (7/3/00, p.31) - "...Some of his most blazin' [stuff] yet on this 78-minute set..." Melody Maker (7/11/00, p.49) - 4.5 stars out of 5 - "...It's all about the incredible beats and loops Busta's thrown together here - this is further-out than any more kudos-laden underground NYC release you'll hear this year....Busta's in unchartered territory..." Rap Pages (7/00, p.46) - "...Energetic and engaging..." NME (Magazine) (6/24/00, p.41) - 7 out of 10 - "...[He] redeems himself...by proving what an astonishingly funky chap he is..." Independence Day Comes Earlier This Year! Busta's seems to improve every time he makes an album. With the sure hot singles "Get Out" & "Fire" he show that we'll hear his unmistakable vocals yet another year.

$18.95 EXTRACT AUTOBIOGRAPHYIf you want to read the whole biography log on to:www.charliehernandez.net ...this first recording as a soloist was done in Charlie Bigio’s studio (well more of a dormitory). It was my first “MIDI” record in contemporary Christian music, called “Seguir y Llegar”. Nany helped me by recording background voices together with a few friends and so we launched this new music style to the streets. This recording caused many varied impressions; from enthusiasm to rejection, but was a great blessing and opened the doors for other recordings in that same style. Invitations started pouring in from different places, including Costa Rica, which is now my second home. In 1986 the rock band “Petra” came to Puerto Rico and invited me to open their concert. One of the DJ’s from the radio station Alfa Rock asked me to use a generic name different from Charlie Hernandez because it sounded too “cocolo”. It’s that “cocolos” (salsa lovers) and rockers don’t get along. They were afraid people would not attend the concert and asked to call my group the CH Band. I laugh now, but at that moment it wasn’t funny at all. We played the opening and Romulo Otero (Koran Codesh), John Maldonado and Vanyo Esquilin (33DC) helped us, none of whom had started their own ministries yet.Playing with Petra opened doors and many musicians from different places offered to help me. I met two super talented brothers; Jimmy and Danny Rodriguez. They were exceptional, not only for their talent, but their humility and simplicity; a quality difficult to find in talented people. I met the base player Joel Alice and the singer Edwin Colon while playing with the Eli Colon’s group “Redes”. Both offered me their help in forming a band; actually during that time Edwin introduced me to his sister Laura, better known as Laurie, who I helped put together her first ...
