With two back to back hit albums behind it (OUT OF THE CELLAR and INVASION OF YOUR PRIVACY), Ratt found itself near the top of the 1980s hard rock heap. With their party hearty lifestyle also serving as the subject matter for much of their music, the quintet wisely decided to not mess with a winning formula on their third release, DANCING UNDERCOVER. While the album's title may be a bit misleading (there's nothing 'dance' oriented here), Ratt came up with more MTV-approved favorites, especially the hard pop rockers "Dance," "Slip of the Lip," and "Body Talk." Although DANCING UNDERCOVER was slightly less successful than RATT's earlier releases, it was the band's third album in a row to obtain at least platinum certification. If you are a fan of Ratt or just a plain hard rock freak you will love this album. One of the best the 80's albums hands down in my opinion. Thank God for cd's cause my cassette version was worn out a very long time ago. Every song rocks you and leaves you wanting to come back for more.

Ratt 86
Next to Out of The Cellar and the Ratt EP, this is their best. Not one weak song on here. Don't know why but I am always partial to the last song on their records as being my favorite, with the exception of the EP. The decline would show up on the next release, Reach For the Sky.

Ratt keeps rolling
Next to OOTC, this is probably Ratt's best album. The riffs rock, the hooks are memorable and catchy, and the songs are very well-written. Best tracks are Dance, Body Talk, and Looking For Love, but the rest of the album is great as well, with only Take A Chance coming off as mediocre. Only thing I can say against this album is that Warren's solos aren't as great as on OOTC or IOYP. If you're a Ratt fan, you need this album, and it's a great buy if you like hair metal.

Six years of waiting for a new album had impatient Ozzy fans biting the heads off of live animals, but DOWN TO EARTH finally arrived. Whereas OZZMOSIS may have harkened back to Ozzy's early days of Black Sabbath, EARTH is unmistakably solo Ozzy. First single "Gets Me Through" is a radio-friendly thank you to his fans in which he exclaims "I'm not the anti-Christ or the iron man." The piano intro is reminiscent of "No More Tears."
