| Big Game Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews A great album from a great band!!!!! You got to have this album in your collection. This is one of my favorites from the '80s, no doubt!! Submitted by elchino5150 (Memphis,TN, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Their Best Album Big Game didn't have the top-ten hits that Pride did, but at the same time, the songwriting is a bit better, and the music is noticeably heavier, but not overly so. The production isn't quite as slick and '80's-like. Greg, James and Vito are all extremely talented musicians, with Vito being an amazing guitarist in the EVH/George Lynch school of shredding. The riffs on "If My Mind Is Evil" and in the middle of "Cry for Freedom" are downright nasty, and he blazes throughout much of the rest of the album, in both his rhythm and lead work. The real weak link is Mike Tramp. Not only does he have the cracking voice of a thirteen-year-old boy, but his lyrics are often unspeakably lame, from phony-sounding good-time fare like "Let's Get Crazy" (obviously a musical tribute to Van Halen) to naive, can't-we-all-just-get-along takes on serious issues, that again put one in mind of an idealistic teenager. Still a very good album from a musical standpoint. Submitted by Fizz (Delmarva) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
An album above others This album rises above others in its category purely by speaking out on issues other than drinking and partying, which other rock bands of the era did. Vito Bratta's obvious devotion to the guitar playing style of Edward Van Halen does much to bring life to the thoughtful lyrics of singer Mike Tramp. I bought this album when it came out and played it almost continuously till the tape broke in my car. I was most thankful to finally get a copy on CD. One of my top ten albums. | | Iron Maiden Flight 666: The Original Soundtrack CDs (2009)
Big Game CD music
$15.89 The idea behind FLIGHT 666 was seemingly birthed from a WAYNE'S WORLD fantasy sequence: the mighty Iron Maiden would embark upon a world tour of exotic locales, transported to each venue in a custom 757 jet piloted by the band's lead singer, with scores of crew, journalists, and family members in tow. Surprisingly, the band not only pulled off the mind-boggling undertaking but delivered an extraordinary live album in the process. The FLIGHT 666 soundtrack compares favorably ...

Seeing as it's missing "Epitaph," "Island of Domination," and the immortal "Ripper" from SAD WINGS, this CD does not allow one to ...
