Even though none of the singles matched the chart performances of "Wait" or "When the Children Cry," and even though it runs a bit long, Big Game is still a worthy follow-up to Pride. There are two major MTV hits present, a Van Halen-ized version of Golden Earring's "Radar Love" and "Little Fighter," an ode to Greenpeace. ~ Steve Huey White Lion Big Game Songs | 1. | Goin' Home Tonight | $0.99 | |

| Big Game Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews A great album from a great band!!!!! You got to have this album in your collection. This is one of my favorites from the '80s, no doubt!! Submitted by elchino5150 (Memphis,TN, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Their Best Album Big Game didn't have the top-ten hits that Pride did, but at the same time, the songwriting is a bit better, and the music is noticeably heavier, but not overly so. The production isn't quite as slick and '80's-like. Greg, James and Vito are all extremely talented musicians, with Vito being an amazing guitarist in the EVH/George Lynch school of shredding. The riffs on "If My Mind Is Evil" and in the middle of "Cry for Freedom" are downright nasty, and he blazes throughout much of the rest of the album, in both his rhythm and lead work. The real weak link is Mike Tramp. Not only does he have the cracking voice of a thirteen-year-old boy, but his lyrics are often unspeakably lame, from phony-sounding good-time fare like "Let's Get Crazy" (obviously a musical tribute to Van Halen) to naive, can't-we-all-just-get-along takes on serious issues, that again put one in mind of an idealistic teenager. Still a very good album from a musical standpoint. Submitted by Fizz (Delmarva) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
An album above others This album rises above others in its category purely by speaking out on issues other than drinking and partying, which other rock bands of the era did. Vito Bratta's obvious devotion to the guitar playing style of Edward Van Halen does much to bring life to the thoughtful lyrics of singer Mike Tramp. I bought this album when it came out and played it almost continuously till the tape broke in my car. I was most thankful to finally get a copy on CD. One of my top ten albums. Purchase Big Game CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | The Very Best Of Enya CDs (2009) With DVD
Big Game album
$21.00 Comprised of 18 tracks culled from the singer/composer's first three decades, The Very Best of Enya was pieced together by the artist herself, along with longtime collaborators Nicky and Roma Ryan. Luckily, the trio seems enamored by most of the same songs that the general public is, resulting in one of those rare "greatest-hits" collections that goes deep without depriving the listener of the essentials. With tunes like "Orinoco Flow," "Caribbean Blue," and "Book of Days" in the pot and out of the way, it's easier to appreciate ...

Big Game album
$12.99 Throwdown have had to eat a lot of crap in recent years because their vocalist, Dave Peters, is doing such a blatant, idolatrous imitation of Pantera/Down vocalist Phil Anselmo. It doesn't help that with 2005's Vendetta they shifted from the thick-necked, straight-edge hardcore of their early catalog to a version of the "groove metal" practiced by Pantera, Trivium, and other modern metal bands. On this latest album, though, Peters occasionally ...
| | Stryper Yellow And Black Attack CD (1984)
Big Game CD music
$8.49 When church leaders were accusing heavy metal of encouraging Satanism, Stryper set out to prove that metal and hard rock could be used to promote Christianity. The southern California band was viewed with suspicion by both ministers (who refused to believe that Christianity and metal were compatible) and fellow headbangers -- and yet, Stryper ...
| | Chapter A Day: Jacob Miller Song Book CDs (1999)
Big Game music CDs
$20.35 At the time of his death in 1980, Jacob Miller was establishing a musical foundation of controversial, socially conscious lyrics that documented the struggles of Jamaica's underclass. Along with Bob Marley, who ironically died a year later, he represented the powerful spirit of oppressed people who refuse to accept injustice. Miller's clear, sweet, echoing voice highlighted tunes that painted ...
