Wendy Carlos' soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick's nightmarish adaptation of Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange captures the seedy, horrific images of the film perfectly. Years later, the synthesizers might sound a little dated, but the music itself is still supremely eerie, capable of conjuring frightening images on its own -- it's nearly as scary as the movie. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
