Not having the mega-multi-million sales of RUMOURS allows this record greater credibility--the listener has the choice of discovering it. A worthy album, late in their career, many million miles away from the monster Peter Green created. It showed a much happier and cleaner Fleetwood Mac, having put much of their emotional baggage in the cupboard. Some of their strongest material is found here, Lindsey Buckingham's ambitious "Big Love," Christine's beautiful "Everywhere" and close second "Little Lies." Reappraising this record gives you a further chance to work out whether a rude word is repeated throughout "Family Man".
Recorded at The Slope, Bel Air, California in 1986.
Fleetwood Mac: Lindsay Buckingham (vocals, guitar, keyboards); Christine McVie (vocals, piano); Stevie Nicks (vocals); John McVie (bass); Mick Fleetwood (drums, percussion).
Fleetwood Mac Tango In The Night Songs Tango In The Night Music Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews One of My CD Essentials I got this album the first time round at a very tender age, so my appreciation for it is multifaceted. Back before I was truly into the band, I just played the Hell out of the cassette.
After some years without it in my collection and an attack of nostalgia, I repurchased it. Like an old pair of shoes, it's quality and familiarity can't be ignored.
I know die hard fans might not agree, but it was a fine enough release considering the time period during which it was recorded. Give it a listen and see how it grabs you! Submitted by Sarah (Kalamazoo, MI) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
VINTAGE MAC!!!! THIS IS THE BEST F.M. ALBUM OUTSIDE OF RUMORS. THE VOCAL HARMONIES ARE UNMATCHED BY ANY ROCK AND ROLL BAND. CHRISTINE MCVIE IS BY FAR THE BEST FEMALE VOCALIST IN THE EIGHTIES, I WISH SHE WAS'NT SO HARD TO WORK WITH. LINDSAY IS ON TOP OF HIS GAME, IF YOU LIKE GUITAR WORK, STUDY THIS GUY - YOU WILL LEARN ALOT. THIS ALBUM IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY PERSON WHO ENJOYS GREAT ROCK AND ROLL HARMONIES WITH INCREDIBLE LYRICS~!!! Submitted by jsonoqui (Huntington Beach California) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

~Tango the remixes all 4 of the 12"x12" Vinyl Tango in the Night for sure it was and will be a good concept album one of the best the type of album you don't find much of these days.
For me it was the remixes.
~Tango in the Night remixes four 12"x12" Vinyl mixes by Jellybean that laid hidden behind the walls of this album if you were lucky enough like myself to have come across them then it made the experience all the better for yourself like it did for me. Tango In The Night album
$6.65 Following up strong on the weak sales and confused reviews of Fleetwood Mac's misunderstood experimental extravaganza, TUSK, was Stevie Nicks's first solo album, BELLA DONNA. The 1981 record featured two smash singles, "Edge of Seventeen" and the Tom Petty duet "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around," that reaffirmed that the Arizona native was one of the biggest female stars of the era. The surprising thing, given Nicks's fairly limited songwriting role in Fleetwood Mac, is that the entire album is start-to-finish solid, particularly the spectral ballad "After the Glitter Fades" and ...

Tango In The Night CD music
$12.99 At the time of its 1985 release, Stevie Nicks's ROCK A LITTLE was greeted with some critical puzzlement, and it was less commercially successful than her previous solo records, scoring only one hit single, the Top 5 "Talk to Me." In retrospect, although the distinctively mid-'80s production dates the album somewhat, this is one of Nicks's most personally revealing and heartfelt sets of songs since the musical diary entries of Fleetwood Mac's RUMOURS. Nicks's personal life at this point was getting nearly as much press as her music--her battles with drugs ...

The reviewers tell us what to buy, but the public actually part with the cash. Surely 26 million people cannot be wrong, as original Mac guitarist Peter Green's creation became the prime example of AOR long after his departure. The inner strife and turmoil of the band is credited as having helped to make this many-headed beast into such a success. Keyboardist Christine McVie ...

No home should be without at least one copy of TUSK. Fleetwood Mac's magnum opus of 1979 is considered by some to be their greatest work. And while you are probably familiar with the hits, you may not realize that this recording is full of gems like Christine McVie's gorgeous "Brown Eyes" and Lindsey Buckingham's rousing and infectious "I Know I'm Not Wrong." Of course, ...

| | Gilby Clarke CD (2007)
Tango In The Night CD music
$11.39 Capitalizing on his sudden shot to stardom as a member of the TV supergroup Rock Star: Supernova, Gilby Clarke cobbled together this eponymous 2007 release, a collection of highlights from Pawnshop Guitars, The Hangover, Rubber, and Swag, plus his Col. Parker band and its 2001 album, Rock n Roll Music, all given remixes that might not have really been needed. Thrown into the mix is a version of "Black" that has been re-recorded with Dilana, the ferocious finalist from Rock Star, which gives fans of the show an incentive they might need to check this out since Clarke's music doesn't sound all that much like the glammy, fizzy pop of Rock Star: Supernova. On his own, Clarke has always stuck pretty close to loose, ragged '70s rock, equal parts Stones and Faces tempered by a dose of Aerosmith, and he not only celebrates this in his sound but he romanticizes it with his songs. There are tunes about parties and hangovers, about "Punk Rock Pollution" and "Bourbon Street Blues," about being stuck in the "Tijuana Jail" and how if "It's Good Enough for Rock n' Roll" it's good enough for him. If Clarke doesn't really find a new way to come up with classic spins, his love of classic rock is plenty endearing, even if his results are uneven. He's just as likely to kick out generic bloozy L.A. metal or vaguely psychedelic glam pop (think a less haunted, less flamboyant Weiland) as he is to lay back and deliver giddy, loose rock & roll worthy of Ronnie Wood or Izzy Stradlin, and this comp showcases both sides. If the latter is stronger than the former -- songs like "Skin n' Bones," "Can't Get That Stuff," "Bourbon Street Blues," the Stonesy ...
