Full DescriptionNick Cave's history of great songs but uneven albums, THE BEST OF NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS truly lives up to its name, condensing his most intriguing songs into one excellent collection. Though it lacks a chronological sequence, the seemingly random track listing works surprisingly well, from the opening Van Morrison-gone-bad raucousness of "Deanna" to the final chaotic blast of "From Her to Eternity."
Though the compilation highlights Cave's penchant for morbid narratives, it also includes disarmingly sincere ballads like "Into My Arms," "Are You the One That I've Been Waiting For?," and "Straight to You," with the Bad Seeds providing unusually subtle backing. Cave's trademark dark theatricality is still at the fore, however, on bleak yet driving songs such as "The Mercy Seat," "Tupelo," "Do You Love Me?," and, of course, the sinister classic "Red Right Hand."
Full title: The Best Of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

Dark and Brilliant Excellent album. At once dark and touching, you cant be indiferent with songs like "Into my arms", "The carny", "Do you love me?".
To listen this is an experience for every person who loves music, and who loves the independent creations of a complete artist like Nick Cave. Submitted by a reviewer (Chile) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
this cd rules this is not, in fact a "best of" nick cave. instead this is a collection of his later more lyrical and straightforward work. now toward the end of his career cave's work has actually included singing, not yelling, as he is known for, and its pretty, almost choral. but the lyrics are just as metaphysical and crazy as usual, you can still expect murderous lovesongs. thank god for that/ Submitted by a reviewer (washington, dc) Was This Review Helpful? Not a typical compilation. One thing that i noticed when i first listened to this album is that i does not feel like a compilation, instead it feels like a regular album. But at the same time there are a lot of songs that you need to hear that is not on this record. Don`t buy it as a definitive collection of his work, just buy it as a great record. Best Of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds songs
$12.25 Even if Tom Waits had ended his career in the early 1980s, before he moved over to Island Records, he would still be regarded as a mighty member of the singer/songwriter elite. This makes it all the more impressive that he completely re-invented himself after switching labels in the mid-'80s, most notably with the Holy Trinity of SWORDFISHTROMBONES, RAIN DOGS, and FRANK'S WILD YEARS. On these albums, whose highlights make up the meat ...

"You Can't Lose What You Ain't Never Had" and "The Same Thing" did not appear on the original version of FOLK SINGER. They were recorded at a separate session in April 1964, three months after FOLK SINGER was released.
The title and cover photo of this 1963 recording were an attempt to cash in on the burgeoning American folk revival, but this is pure acoustic blues. Muddy ...

Best Of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds music CDs
$15.19 My friends call me Moe or Dr Moe. I am a PhD Psychologist recovering from "Burnout." I write and record music to heal my Soul. I'm told the music is uplifting, inspirational and "Fun" - works for me! I like the sounds of Dutch Mason, The Doors, Tom Petty, Brian Ferry, The Hothouse Flowers and Leon Russell. There's a Rockin Blues quality here that just grabs me, and the lyrics, well the lyrics seem to come from "Out There" someplace, where we're being watched in a friendly & loving manner. This collection of songs reflect my life experience, both as a guy trying to find his way in the World and as a therapist who for nearly 25 years listened to people talk about their pain and then looked to me for some guidance. There's an R&B upbeat flavor here now, as well as Blues. The title track "Breathless" is warm R&B and soothing. There's Spiritual Messages ...
