Winners of the 1992 Banff International String Quartet Competition, these four young Canadians are a striking new presence on the chamber music scene. The quartet was founded in 1989 and studied with the Emerson String Quartet at the Hartt School of Music. THE ONE is based on the futuristic premise that there is more than one universe: there are many parallel universes, each of which contain a slightly different version of every person who has ever lived. Directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly continue their string of hilarious oddball comedies with SHALLOW HAL.
