The endless sideshows engendered by the fact that Sinead O'Connor was apparently born without the internal censor that keeps the rest of us from social embarrassment have done far too much to obscure the essential truth about this singer/songwriter: she's genuinely talented, and her best work cannot be ignored. This 15 track compilation collects all of the singles from her first four albums, adding several non-LP tracks like "Heroine," a collaboration with The Edge and Eno-associate Michael Brook from the soundtrack of the otherwise forgotten 1986 film CAPTIVE. From her outstanding debut, O'Connor went from strength to strength for a number of years, and this set includes essential tracks like the hard-rocking "Mandinka" and "The Emperor's New Clothes" to the still-startling confessional sound of "Nothing Compares 2 U" and "I Am Stretched On Your Grave." This set also gathers the high points from the spotty but often worthwhile albums O'Connor recorded after her self-imposed retreat from the spotlight, making it a solid one-stop for the casual fan.Entertainment Weekly (12/12/97, p.90) - "...If some her early work now feels shrill and strident, her later experiments with hip-hop beats and Bomb the Bass (included here) make her seem visionary. It's common for pop stars to boast of growing up in public, but O'Connor's actually done it." - Rating: A- So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor Music So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor Songs So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor Music So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor Music Review Buy So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor CD Purchase So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Ladies & Gentlemen: The Best Of George Michael CDs (1998)

In the early '80s, Collins took a break from the helm of Genesis to inaugurate a solo career that abandoned his group's art-rock agenda for a mainstream pop approach. In the ensuing years, the king of Nice Guy Pop established himself as one of the world's premier top 40 balladeers, as evidenced by the wall-to-wall hits that make up the balance of this appropriately ...

So Far...The Best Of Sinead O'Connor CD music
$15.19 Tidewater Virginians made up the ruling class of early western Virginia. They clashed with hillside farmers in a tug that erupted with the Civil War. Tensions of war and class broke the state in two and founded the new state of West Virginia. Fasten your seatbelt as you hear local people unveil the truth about such little known entities as the Constitutional Union Party. This political party, favored by West Virginia's ruling elite, supported slavery while remaining tied to the Union for the sake of finances. The Civil War in most of north central West Virginia was less dramatic than it was incessant, horrifying in its unpredictability as Bushwackers terrorized travelers and residents along the Pike and families and neighbors raged. Towns were taken and retaken by Union and Confederate troops. With the bitter taste of the Civil War still in the air, the rush to harvest West Virginia's giant trees was on. River rafters and sawmills turned timber into towns. The oil and gas industry took up where it had left off before the War. Speculators bet everything they had on the oozing black gold. Working men along the Pike wildcatted in newly developing oilfields and risked their lives on high derricks while women cooked and cleaned for boarders. Coal, oil, gas and timbering fueled lively economies in the great river city of Parkersburg and in rollicking small towns along the Pike.MusicDusty Miller (Trad. ) - Danny Mullen (f), Linda Mullen (g)Thanksgiving Reel - Written by Danny Mullen, performed by Danny and Linda MullenSunset Waltz (Trad. ) - Gerry Milnes (f), Michael Kline (g)Band of Brothers (Trad. ) ...
