John Lennon Anthology Music Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) For Lennon Lovers This is a fine album for any real Lennon fan.You get to hear the real Lennon in action. Losing You The version Lennon did with Bun E. Carlos on drums and Rick Neilson on guitar is soooo much better then the final cut that made the Double Fantasy lp. In fact, the entire lp should have been cut with Cheap Trick as the band. Can you imagine how great it would have sounded to have Lennon singing with Rick and Robin on backing vox? Wow! It is good. Very good. But, well, yes you get a few new songs, but they are mostly just studuio out takes, including screeching, swearing, and boring bits were he asks stage managers about sound technishion. It is good, but only the hardest fans will dig it, I think, which is a shame. It has about 40 mins of quality music- a sorry sight for an album over 4 hours long. If I were you, I'd by some of his origionals instead, and save yourself the dissenlutionment
