This brings me back
I have been a Beatles fan for as long as I can remember. My mom and I used to listen to this tape on my way to and from school almost everyday. I am so glad that I found it on CD. If you don't rate this as a 5, please seek professional help!

The birth of *BEATLEMANIA*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the strength of this album's title track, this album skyrocketed to the top of everybody's wish list and kick-started a legendary career by four teenagers from the Liverpool area. On this album, they were still simple rock-and-rollers, but they injected a teenage enthusiasm to tackle anything and everything into the music, which helped make it popular with the teenage audience. Now, just because of its popularity is not a reason to try and discredit it. To put it simply, this album flat out rocks, laying the blueprint for the "British Invasion", as it was called, and putting a new and powerful energy back into rock and roll. One of the best tracks on here, "I Saw Her Standing There", is a prime example of this, and it continues to leap out of my headphones each time I play it. This album is great. If you're a fan of the Beatle's psychedelic stuff, you have no idea what you're missing on this disc. Buy it and see.

The World's Greatest Phenomenon
After 6 years of changing both the name of their band and their musicians, The Beatles finally sustained a record deal with Parlophone and made their first album. Though the lyrics aren't as good as the band's later work, "I Saw Her Standing There" is ultimately the defintive rock song.
