As studio-based dance music dominated the charts in the early '90s, no group was more prominent than Technotronic. Hailing from Belgium, the duo of Ya Kid K and MC Eric stormed the world with three consecutive smash hits. "Pump Up the Jam," "Get Up!," and "Move This" became chart-toppers the world over and are tracks that can still be heard in clubs on any given night. Some of the other killer tracks on this album include "This Beat Is Technotronic," "Come On," and "Tough." PUMP UP THE JAM was one of the pioneering albums of the '90s and helped usher in the popular mainstream sounds of techno and house that followed.

Recorded at The Haunted House II, Aalst and Swanyard, London, England.

5 stars Pump up the jam means you have to pump up the volume on this
Well it is so sad that Technotronic are no longer around as they were the best dance band of the 80's and early 90's wow they absolutely hit the nightclubs here in Australia it was pump up the jam everywhere in the clubs, cars you name it they were everywhere. If you are a fan of Technotronic and dance music especially from the 80's this is a must have CD it is one of Technotronic's best being their first album. It is real dancy and different from other dance music its a must have for parties I will definatly be playing it at my parties. And again to CD universe you are the greatest for having this CD it is really great.
