(4 Customer Reviews)
Before singer/guitarist Steve Miller became one of the late-'70s big names in rock & roll (and eventually, the classic rock radio format), he specialized in psychedelic blues. The 16 track ANTHOLOGY collects Miller's best tracks from his pre-JOKER ... Full Descriptionalbums, and proves to be a worthy companion to his later best-of sets, GREATEST HITS 1974-1978 and THE BEST OF 1968-1973. Several of the tracks were originally from currently out-of-print albums, such as the highlights "Your Saving Grace," "Little Girl," "Journey from Eden," and "Don't Let Nobody Turn You Around," making ANTHOLOGY a worthwhile purchase for longtime fans as well.

Anthology album
$9.45 Released in 1973 and now regarded as an important transitional album in Fleetwood Mac's long march towards superstardom, MYSTERY TO ME featured the lineup of Mick Fleetwood, John and Christine McVie, singer/guitarist Bob Welch and guitarist Bob Weston. The hiring of Welch had angered original guitarist Danny Kirwan and after a 1972 gig, the volatile Kirwan went berserk backstage and was fired. On MYSTERY TO ME, the follow-up to PENGUIN (1973) and the band's strongest album in years, the luminous elements of the future Fleetwood Mac were falling in place; Bob Welch's rambling, ...

| | Steve Miller Sailor CD (1968)
Anthology music CDs
$9.89 Long before Steve Miller discovered the art of writing great short pop songs with infectious guitar licks, he led a dynamite band that featured Boz Scaggs. This incandescent album was their last together and for the vast majority of Miller followers it remains the pinnacle. Sandwiched in between the band's love for the blues and R&B with "Gangster Of Love" and "You're So Fine" are great rock tracks such as "Living In The USA" ...
| | Traffic John Barleycorn Must Die CD (1970) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Anthology songs
$6.39 Although JOHN BARLEYCORN MUST DIE was originally intended as Steve Winwood's post-Blind Faith solo debut, Winwood and producer/label head Chris Blackwell first drafted Jim Capaldi to provide lyrics, and then Chris Wood dropped by to add his familiar reeds, and almost by accident, Traffic was reborn.
This was a different, and better, Traffic than the ill-fated quartet lineup with Dave Mason, which never entirely settled on an artistic direction. The sound of JOHN BARLEYCORN MUST DIE, on the other hand, remained the template for the rest of the reunited band's career--long, ...

| | Flipp Blow It Out Your Ass! CD (2000)
Anthology songs
$9.49 Flipp was formed in the late 1990's by frontman, Schizo-Boy, Brynn Arens. While messing around with a video camera with cofounder, drummer, Kilo Bale, recording a friend's light show, the guys found themselves with an awesome video for the remake of The Who's, "My Generation" which Brynn describes as,..."what the song would have sounded like if Sonic Youth would have wrote it..." Seeing the great response to the video, Brynn realized he would have to find two other members that were as sick and twisted as he was to complete this rock band Flipp. With brother Chia Karaoke Arens on every instrument he can get his hands on, including Flipp cereal, and space-punk Freaky Useless on bass, Flipp was complete. One of Flipp's very first gigs was playing the first Edgefest outdoor rock concert festival. The band appeared on MTV news after they incited a mud throwing war and was shown with singer Brynn Arens "mooning" the crowd while thousands threw mud at his digitally blurred out bottom. ...
