The best of Rock for ever
The amazing and prolific production of the Beatles has no comparison in the popular music of all times. These are the number one hits in the 62-66 period.Really Classic no matter the age you have.

I love the beatles and really think this album deserves to be 5*. Songs like In My Life and Girl are particularly good. Just a must have album for anyone who wishes to understand the roots of modern bands

Essential and Influential
From John Mayer and Gavin de Graw to Franz Ferdinand to Nine Inch Nails and the very far end of the spectrum of pop and rock, if you wanna know where they got the core of their influences from, listen to both this album and the Blue Album. Every time I hear a "new" hit these days, I have to shake my head in wonder, because no matter how "bold", "innovative" or "confessional" the artist in question is striving to be, the Lennon-McCartney imprint can still be detected all over the writing and the performance. The Rolling Stones still continue to hold on to their mantle as "the greatest rock and roll band in the world" with a kung-fu death grip, but the Fab Four were, are now, and will remain far in the future to be "the greatest rock and roll band in HISTORY."
