"Genie In A Bottle" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. "What A Girl Wants" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Christina Aguilera rocketed to ... Full Descriptionthe top of the charts with the smash hit "Genie in a Bottle" from this self-titled debut and placed herself among a leading generation of young, multi-talented pop artists. Like fellow performers Britney Spears, J.C. and Justin of 'N Sync, and actress Keri Russell, who stars in the TV show Felicity, Aguilera is a graduate of the New Mickey Mouse Club television program.
Songs such as "What a Girl Wants" with its guitar-driven melody, and the soulful gospel strain of "So Emotional" show Christina Aguilera's polish. Some of the other tracks that stand out are the powerful "I Turn to You," which was written by Diane Warren; "Reflection," which was produced by Matthew Wilder; and the dance floor mover "Love Will Find a Way," from hit makers Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers.

Entertainment Weekly (8/20-27/99, p.126) - "...When Aguilera straddles the crossover-appeal fault line...she delivers giddily delicious radio pop....CHRISTINA still makes a credible bid to be the late-summer soundtrack to romantic rebound." - Rating: B- Q (1/00, p.106) - 3 stars out of 5 - "...shows off her pretty, but powerful vocals to suprisingly impressive effect." CHRISTINA'S DEBUT IS SMASHING In her debut album,CHRISTINA has a little bit of everything. Including hits such as GENIE IN A BOTTLE,WHAT A GIRL WANTS,I TURN TO YOU AND COME ON OVER ALL I WANT IS YOU. All the songs are gems, however the one song I just thought was fair is SO EMOTIONAL. I like this album more than any other one of her recordings. Submitted by Joel (Miami Fla.) Christina Aguilera album
$12.95 BABY ONE MORE TIME is an Enhanced CD containing a full audio program as well as multimedia computer files.

"Baby One More Time" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Britney Spears takes her rightful place among bubble gum pop icons at the turn of the millennium with BABY ONE MORE TIME. Earlier known for her part in Disney's revamped "Mickey Mouse Club," Britney successfully turned singer at a mere 16 years of age. She navigates the choppy waters of young love with style, passion and lots of fun. She's got all the charm of '80s forebears like Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, coupled with a hip '90s edge.
With sweet nylon guitar work reminiscent of Richard Marx productions, "Sometimes" warns ...
| | Backstreet Boys Millenium CD (1999)
Christina Aguilera CD music
$10.19 MILLENNIUM was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Album Of The Year and for Best Pop Vocal Album. "I Want It That Way" was nominated for Record Of The Year and for Song Of The Year.
"Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
The Backstreet Boys self-titled 1997 debut album endeared the group to millions of teens and pre-teens with its radio-friendly blend of pop harmonies and danceable beats. MILLENNIUM finds the Boys in the unenviable position of following up the mind-blowing success of the first album. Less ambitious artists might wither under such pressure, but the Backstreet Boys beat the dreaded sophomore slump in style. In the tradition of the debut, the album is a combination of romantic ballads guaranteed to make your little sister sob, and syncopated, eminently danceable, upbeat tunes. Throughout, it's the rich combination of the ...
| | N Sync No Strings Attached CD (2000)
Christina Aguilera music CDs
$9.89 NO STRINGS ATTACHED was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. "Bye Bye Bye" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Record Of The Year and for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
It would be easy to dismiss N Sync off the cuff as the second band to reach popularity in a passing fad (the resurgence of photogenic boy groups). With the success of fellow Orlando-ites Backstreet Boys, one might assume N Sync would be forever overshadowed. However, when you sell 2.4 million copies of one record in its first week, you've pretty much earned the removal of the epithet, "passing fad." On NO STRINGS, N Sync pulls off feats of wonder through taking a formula and injecting it with stronger twists of talent than many of their competitors.
"Space Cowboy (Yippie-Ki-Yay)" features TLC's Left Eye and the combined force actually manages some funk Rick James could admire. The requisite ballads are present, and it's hard to ignore the sensuality of the lead single, "Bye Bye Bye." N Sync even benefits from a deft choice of cover tunes in the slinky version ...
| | Britney Spears Oops!... I Did It Again CD (2000)
Christina Aguilera songs
$9.95 OOPS!... I DID IT AGAIN was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. "Oops!...I Did It Again" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
This second album by the former Mouseketeer turned nymphet heartthrob breaks little new ground compared to BABY ONE MORE TIME. The formula here remains, deliberately, the same: a candy-colored mix of Eurodance, hip-hop, and old-fashioned pop ballads. As before, the lyrics split the difference between "Baby, I love you so bad," as in "Can't Make You Love Me," and "Sorry, I think of you just as a friend," in the title song.
There are also some genuinely amusing moments, as in the conversational finale of "Oops!" in which Britney, after being informed that her boyfriend has recovered the jewel the old lady dropped into the ocean at the end of the TITANIC movie, replies "Oh, you shouldn't have." Most of ...
| | Celine Dion All The Way...A Decade Of Song CD (1999)
Christina Aguilera album
$11.39 "All The Way" was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
This is a multi-channel Super Audio CD playable only on Super Audio CD players.
This greatest-hits package, the first from pop icon Celine Dion, gathers Dion's biggest chart-toppers of the '90s and also includes a handful of new compositions. In the album's liner notes, the honey-voiced singer offers heartfelt thanks to her fans and confirms speculation that she plans take time away from music to focus on her family.
Hits include "Beauty and the Beast," "It's All Coming Back to Me Now," and "My Heart Will Go On," the impassioned theme song from TITANIC. Among the new songs, her dramatic, tremolo-drenched rendering of Ewan MacColl's "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" is marked by Dion's typical midsong climaxes. "All the Way" is a tribute to Frank Sinatra, delivered in a manner similar to Natalie Cole's tribute to her ...

"No Me Ames" was nominated for the 2000 Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
The multi-talented dancer/singer/actress Jennifer Lopez fulfilled a lifelong dream with the release of ON THE 6, an album that gets its title from the subway she took from her Bronx home to Manhattan for dance training and auditions. The overnight hit "If You Had My Love" helped show the world Jennifer's emotive and vulnerable vocal style. With the collaborative help of Emilio Estefan Jr., the dance rhythms and salsa brass ...
