"When I Said I Do" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals. D'LECTRIFIED, which was recorded entirely with acoustic instruments, is a brilliant exploration of Clint Black's musical roots, as ... Full Descriptionwell as a showcase for his superb songwriting and vocals. D'LECTRIFIED includes covers of classic tracks, new original songs, and reworkings of Black's previous hits. The cover versions, which include songs by Leon Russell ("Dixie Lullabye"), the Marshall Tucker Band ("Bob Away My Blues"), and even Monty Python's Eric Idle ("The Galaxy Song"), are enhanced by guest appearances from the likes of Bruce Hornsby, Edgar Winter, Waylon Jennings, and even Idle himself.
The new songs are the sort of melodic, well-written tracks you'd expect from Black, and these are also enhanced by collaborations. Black's duet with Steve Wariner on the groovin' "Been There" is one of the album's highlights, while the beautiful "When I Said I Do" features vocals from Black's wife, actress/singer Lisa Hartman. But the real revelation just might be the old songs. Black has completely reinvented his hits "Burn One Down" and "No Time to Kill" with cool, funky arrangements that incorporate horns and Hornsby's piano. Black's talents as a country hitmaker are well-documented, but D'LECTRIFIED proves him to be a true musical visionary.

| | Shiva In Exile Nour CD (2008)
D'Lectrified songs
$18.99 Shiva in Exile is a new age/oriental/gothic project started in 2003 by former PC game soundtrack composer Stefan Hertrich (Munich/Germany). The debut album "Ethnic" was released in the same year by the Canadian label Trostlos Records. In 2004, the album won the Just Plain Folks Music Award in the category "Best New Age/World Album 2004".Finally, after 5 years, the second album "Nour" (the arabic word for "light") will see the light of day, being released on Hertrich’s own label Listen&Think Publishing (July 2008) and several license partners (later this year)."Nour" is an innovative mix of modern Gothic/Electro/Soundtrack and ethnic/oriental elements (dozens of stringed, woodwind and percussion instruments from the Near East, Africa and native America). In combination with the unique, original vocal performance of Yana Veva (St. Petersburg/Russia) this album became extremely energetic and mystic but yet warm and sensitive, inviting the listener to a spiritually uplifting experience. We are taken on a journey of revolution, of change, understanding and ultimately into the deep mysteries of the east.In tracks like Viva La Revolucion, We're All One and He'neya we are thrown into the middle of the conflicts as Yana leads the way ...
