Native American Indian Chants & Dances CD music
$15.49 Compiled by Natalie Merchant herself, RETROSPECTIVE: 1995-2005 presents 13 cherry-picked tracks from her solo studio albums of that era. While the disc's first four songs (including the hypnotic "Carnival" and the resonant "San Andreas Fault") feature the vocalist fresh off of her long stint with college-rock mainstays 10,000 Maniacs, later tunes find her exploring gospel (the soulful "Build a Levee" with revered ...
| | Who Endless Wire CD (2006) With DVD; Limited Edition
Native American Indian Chants & Dances music CDs
$13.79 Neither time, nor the deaths of founding members, nor claims that they'll never play together again seem to stop the legendary Who. On 2006's ENDLESS WIRE, the band's first official studio full-length since 1982's IT'S HARD, Pete Townshend is still folding progressive structures and lofty themes into bombastic, arena-ready rock, while Roger Daltrey belts it out as though it were still 1976. The Who's 2000s-era touring band, including drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino, and keyboardist John Bundrick, lend enough muscle to the musical attack here to recall the ...

| | Miles Davis Kind Of Blue CD (1959) Bonus Track; Remastered
Native American Indian Chants & Dances album
$6.29 With BIRTH OF THE COOL, Miles Davis distilled a new tonal palette for jazz. As early as 1954, Miles reacted to the escalating chordal complexity of hard bop by fashioning an evocative blues based on a simple scalar pattern ("Swing Spring"). KIND OF BLUE was the ultimate fulfillment of this approach, with Miles providing his collaborators little more than outlines for melodies and simple scales for improvisation. By emphasizing the blues and the improvisor's melodic gifts, KIND OF BLUE precipitated a major stylistic development--modal ...

Native American Indian Chants & Dances CD music
$14.79 Feeling very lucky to be a part of the tour, Jack just returned from Arlo Guthrie and Friends "City of New Orleans" Tour. Arlo and family set up these dates to raise money for Katrina victims. With shows beginning in Chicago, and ending with a sold out show in New Orleans, Jack opended for the likes of Arlo Guthrie w/Gordon Titcomb and band, Ramblin Jack Elliot, Willie Nelson, The Burns Sisters,Ramsey Midwood,Abe Guthrie, Annie and Cathy Guthrie,Exavier and a set with Annie Guthrie and Amy Nelson. At the first couple of shows, Cyrille Neville and his wife also performed some New Orleans funk in the house. It was like "walkin in a dream" for Jack the entire time and Amtrak's Jerome made sure they all made it back home safely on the Train that was Bound for Glory....... Born and raised in New Orleans.Started a coffeehouse in the eighties in New Mexico. Many songwriters ...
| | Path Of Allyson Better Hallway Vision CD (2001)
Native American Indian Chants & Dances music CDs
$11.39 The Hurricane riddled year of 1995 started with the headline "THE DESTRUCTIVE PATH OF ALLISON!" Soon afterwards, a five piece band from Atlanta, Georgia was born. Path of Allyson's sound is very melodic and dynamic, weaving a textured canvas for the ear and mind. Comparable to Radiohead, The Psychedelic Furs, Kent, and edgy American/Brit Pop, POA ...
| | Tadd Dameron Mating Call CD (1956)
Native American Indian Chants & Dances songs
$8.09 Digitally remastered by Phil De Lancie (1992, Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, California).
This fine set, recorded on November 30, 1956, has been reissued several times, often as a John Coltrane date, but make no mistake, this is a Tadd Dameron session, and his elegant compositions are its key component. Coltrane was fresh off playing with Miles Davis in 1956 and was still a year away from heading his own sessions and three years away from recording Giant Steps, so it might be said that he was in transition, but then when was Coltrane not in transition? Dameron wisely gives him plenty of space to fill, and the rhythm section of John Simmons on bass and the great Philly Joe Jones on drums (not to mention Dameron's own characteristically bass-heavy piano style) give Trane a solid bottom to work with, and if the spiritual ...

| | George Jones She Thinks I Still Care: The Complete United Artists Recordings, 1962-1964 CDs (2007) (Import) Boxed Set; Germany
Native American Indian Chants & Dances CD music
$167.19 Country music doesn't get any more essential than this. The five-disc box set SHE THINKS I STILL CARE is undoubtedly the most awe-inspiring George Jones collection to date. Jones was at his peak during his 1962-'64 stint on the UA label, and some of his most unforgettable recordings hail from this era. You get much more on this set than mere timeless, undeniable gems such as "The Race is On," "She Thinks I Still Care," and "Let's Invite Them Over," though.
From heartbroken Hank Williams tributes like "Take These Chains From My Heart" to the spiritual intensity of "Kneel at the Feet of Jesus" and a generous helping of Jones's legendary duets with Melba Montgomery (easily on a par with his Tammy Wynette collaborations), this set gives us a full picture ...
