$9.35 As the title suggests, Placido Domingo's 1999 album, Mariachi, was recorded with a mariachi band accompanying him on songs like "Paloma Querida," "Malaguena," "Como Olvidar," "La Rondalla," and "La Feria de las Flores." Many of the works on Mariachi were popularized by Lola Beltran, Jose Alfredo Jimenez Sandoval, and other singers who Domingo listened to during his boyhood in Mexico, and he interprets these songs with affection. ~ Heather Phares

Respighi: Belfagor
$13.15 This CD was made during 4 performances of Rod Gilfry's cabaret show in 2004 in Costa Mesa, California. . The show is romantic, funny & heartwarming. Great for all ages. Here is a review:"There are some voices that are so amazing that you immediately seem to run out of adjectives to describe how thrilling it is to listen to them. Such is the case with the voice of world-class operatic baritone Rod Gilfry. If you really love the musical theater, words really can't describe how glorious it is to be in a small room and hear a voice like that singing those songs. It's almost like hearing them for the first time. Additionally, it's clear that Gilfry's acting instincts are right on target. He is able to navigate the treacherous waters between opera and musicals with seeming ease. It would seem obvious to make comparisons to Gordon MacRae, John Raitt and even Howard Keel, but Gilfry's voice is so technically superior that those comparisons are ridiculous."David Hurst, Show Business Weekly, March 14, 2001
