| | Michael Jackson Off The Wall CD (1979) Bonus Tracks; Remastered; Special Edition
Sentimental Journey: Pop Vocal Classics Vol. 2 (1947-1950). CD music
$7.59 OFF THE WALL remaster contains previously unreleased demos and commentary by producer Quincy Jones and songwriter Rod Temperton.
Recorded in Los Angeles, California between 1978 & 1979. Originally released on Epic (35745).
Digitally remastered by Bernie Grundman (Bernie Grundman Mastering, Los Angeles, California).
As the lead singer of the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson had already been labeled a legend at a young age; but OFF THE WALL introduced the world to the adult Michael Jackson, and proved that he was still very much worthy of that label. It was the real beginning for Michael as a solo artist, and opened the doors for his next album THRILLER, which would become the greatest selling album of all time and help foist upon a Jackson a new title: King Of Pop.
Under the supervision of Quincy Jones, OFF THE WALL illustrated some of Jackson's most soulful material. The title-track is among the album's smoothest, and introduces his silky feel for the dance-floor. The lively "Working Day And Night" was a teaser for the singles "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock With You," both of which reached #1 on the pop charts. Slowing down the pace, the album also hosted some romantic tunes which, through the years, have become classics in their own right. With "Girlfriend" and "She's Out Of My Life," Michael proved that he never lost his golden ...

$15.19 In the days of prohibition in Saskatchewan in the early 1920s notorious Chicago gangster Al Capone had numerous hidden routes, underground passages and meeting places in Southern Saskatchewan, one of which was in the basement of the Homestead Hotel in Milestone. The interior of this hidden gambling house was green, from the poker table in the middle of the room to the chairs and walls. The sign on the front of the heavy oak door simply said “GREEN DOOR CLUB”Roughly 75 years later, this gambling house became the jam spot for 3 arising musicians named, Matt Palynchuck, Danton Moorhead, Mike Palynchuck, and later Mike Legault. The band became known to people that frequented the hotel and residence of Milestone as the ΓΆβ‚¬ΛœGreen Door Club’ and they used that name for the band off and on until it finally stuck a short time ago. Much like Al Capone’s rise to the top of the crime world in the 20s, Green Door Club has honed their skills and straight up rock/hard rock sound and is on the rise in the underground scene on the prairies. Combining dual harmony vocals with catchy hard rock riffs, Green Door Club’s original rock sound earned them the crown at the 2004 Molson Canadian Rocks Band Warz. Green Door Club has also performed at pre and post game parties for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (Canadian Football League), the Western Canadian Music ...

$10.38 ONE WAY OUT can be seen as a sequel to the Allman Brothers Band's 2000 live album, PEAKIN' AT THE BEACON. Both albums were recorded within a couple of years of each other during the band's legendary annual Beacon residencies, but PEAKIN' marked the end of founding member Dickey Betts's tenure and mainly featured older material. In contrast, the group's first live album with new guitarist Derek Trucks (founding drummer Butch Trucks's nephew) draws much of its material from the '03 studio album, HITTIN' THE NOTE. Consequently, when the band lays into the elegiac "Old Before ...
