 A True Legand
Curtis Mayfield's music will remain time less. This is possibly his very best selection, especially for those of you haven't had the incredible opportunity to hear his recordings. This artist tells it like it is with style and rythum.

 Curtis Was The Man
This CD is pretty much what you'd expect when you purchase an album by a genius. However, take note of one thing: the song "Freddie's Dead" on this CD is not the original version. It is an expurgated, censored version, which is shortened by over a minute. Noticeably missing is the last verse where Mayfield chastises the black community for not stopping their drug use: "Why can't we brothers / Protect one another? / No one's serious / And it makes me furious." Is this the mighty modern hand of knee-jerk political correctness at work? Too bad. The song is much more powerful and honest as originally written.
