The Very Best of Kleeer is an excellent 13-track collection that is, in many ways, the definitive overview of the funk band's career. All of the group's R&B hits -- "Keep Your Body Workin'," "Tonight's the Night (Good Time)," "Winners," "Open Your Mind," "Get Tough," "Running Back to You," "Taste the Music," "De Ting Continues," "She Said She Loves Me," "Next Time It's for Real," "Intimate Connection," "Take Your Heart Away" -- are here, usually presented in their full-length album versions instead of the edited single versions. While this might make Very Best a little too lengthy for some casual fans who just want singles -- after all, it runs over 77 minutes -- it's hard to imagine a more comprehensive collection than this. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
First time on CD! NYC's visionary funkmasters recorded seven albums for Atlantic between 1979 and 1985, hitting the R&B charts a dozen times. All 12 hits are here, including Get Tough; Winners; Tonight's the Night (Good Time); Intimate Connection; Taste the Music , and more-some single-length, some full-length album versions. 13 tracks, 77 minutes-it's a funk jam, people.

Very Best Of Kleeer Music Review
Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) Review of The Very Best of Kleer This CD is the bomb. Kleeer was a little before my time, but my older aunt played it & I loved moslty everything she listened too in the late 70's & 80's. Submitted by mppoole (Dallas,TX) Was This Review Helpful? Kleeer:Intimate Connections I actually ordered this particular CD, because it was the only one I found which contained the track I have been searching for: Intimate Connections. If you are a Kleeer fan, you will certainly enjoy the CD. If you are like me, and are only familiar with one song on the CD, then you will enjoy the one song you purchased the CD for. Good Old School Funk By far, one of the better 80's R&B funk bands. Always tight, with the requisite bass in your face.
Was hoping to find a couple of the individual albums, because the compilations always seem to miss one of your personal favorites, don't they?
But until I do, this will get me over.
If you've never heard of them, try it!
