Dr. Andrew Weil's Breathing: The Master Key to Self-Healing is a double-disc set that comprehensively explains and demonstrates different forms of therapeutic breathing and their benefits. Indeed, the first disc is nothing but Weil's explanation of the benefits of "breathwork," assuring that the listener is well-grounded in his yoga-based pranayama (energy-increasing) techniques. The second disc puts these theories into practice, with Dr. Weil guiding the listener through eight relaxing and energizing breath excercises. Unlike his 1997 set Sound Body, Sound Mind, Breathing contains very little music, but for anyone interested in learning and mastering Eastern-based breathing techniques, it's an essential audio guide. ~ Heather Phares Breathing: Master Key To Self Healing Music Dr Andrew Weil Breathing: Master Key To Self Healing Songs Breathing: Master Key To Self Healing Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Feel the difference! I had heard of and had read previously of the benefits of breathwork, but I truly had no idea how profoundly I could benefit from such a daily practice. I followed Dr. Weil through the one-hour session everyday, and after three months I can honestly say I have never felt more calm, relaxed, at ease, peaceful, mindful, and on and on. Apolgies if I'm gushing, but since I improved myself (by reconditioning my entire being through breathwork), virtually all areas of my life are better now as I am truly more free to enjoy them and engage fully w/o expectations. Breathing: Master Key To Self Healing songs
$15.29 The Mnemonists are part of long-standing and somewhat mysterious artistic collective based in Ft. Collins, CO. In the late '80s, the Mnenomist name was permanently attached to the visual artists in the collective, with the name Biota assigned to the musical element. In 1984, however, it seems that this distinction had yet to be made. Five musicians are in this early version of the group, supported by two occasional vocalists who also happen to be responsible for some of the visuals. Conventional instrument -- such as saxophone, clarinet, double bass, viola, and piano -- are employed, as well as shawm and crumhorn, two ancient horns used in Renaissance music. But the specialty of William Sharp, the person probably most responsible for the Mnemonist (and later Biota) sound, is processing and tape work. Almost everything recorded by the two groups is disorienting to one degree or another, with heavy use of unidentified and/or treated sounds, and quite often a muffled quality, as if coming at the listener from a great distance, or perhaps underwater. With titles like "Digesting War," "Crucible," and "Torpor," the music is fascinating but generally rather bleak, often with a strong industrial element, suggesting field recordings inside a large steel foundry or a '30s automobile assembly plant. However, surprises are a given on any Mnemonist/Biota recordings, and the last piece on the program, "Triptych," is actually based (very loosely) upon a piece by early music composer Carlo Gesualdo, featuring what sounds like a wheezy pump organ, even though no such instrument is listed in the credits. Breathing: Master Key To Self Healing album
$13.35 THE SEVEN CHAKRAS is divided, appropriately enough, into seven tracks, each of which corresponds directly to the seven chakras in the human body. The first selection, for example, addresses the energy at the base of the spine, and the album continues through the Spleen center (2), Solar plexus (3), Heart center (4), Throat center (5), Third Eye (6), and the Crown center (7).
Instrumentalist Aeoliah creates a calming wash of synthesizer sounds that evoke harps, cellos, voices, and percussion; intended to balance and harmonize the energy in each ...
