 A must for any American
Although most of the songs on this album aren't my taste, The Ballad of the Green Berets makes the whole album worth the money and more. This is a must for anyone with an ounce of patriotism for this great country of ours.

 Flash Back!
I have the original vinyl album from when this was first released, yes it was bought for me. Have listened to it to the point of creating the proverbial "scritch" that worn records get. I was excited to be able to hear it clearly again. As when I was a youngster, it still brings goose bumps to my skin and a lump to my throat. I absolutely loved and still love this music. Barry is sadly missed but his music lives on! I believe I was born patriotic because I have always been drawn to military music. I would like to send best wishes to all our military men and women and may they be home soon.

 Unashamed Patriotism
It has been perhaps 30 years since I heard this album, and them it was as a child. I have newfound respect and admiration for Ssgt. Sadler and hope that another generation can try to idenify with the ballads. Lullaby is especially meaningful to me as my Air National Guard units stands ready for the third activation in my career, the first time that I potentially face leaving my 15 month old son.
