R. Kelly proves that he's as prolific as he is talented on the two-disc set R., which not only culls together his most noteworthy and successful work, but is bursting with new tracks as well. Filled from start to finish with Kelly's unique blend of smooth vocal stylings and no-nonsense lyrical stance, this album also features the work of a few of his prominent friends--the opener, "Home Alone" sports a guest rap courtesy of Keith Murray, while "Money Makes The World Go Round" is graced by Nas.
A more mainstream pairing is witnessed in the dramatic show stopper "I'm your Angel," which finds Kelly alongside superstar Celine Dion, but the collaboration which really makes its mark is "We Ride," which features Cam'Ron, Noreaga, Jay-Z and Vegas Cats in a veritable who's who of Hip Hop's brightest stars. As if all this weren't enough, the mega-hit "I Believe I Can Fly" is included for good ...

"Guilty Conscience" was nominated for the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance By Duo Or Group.
With 2001, Dr. Dre has managed to do the seemingly impossible: resurface yet again after a five-year disappearance from the rap game, and shatter all expectations. The first two tracks lull the listener into thinking this is going to be a mellow, G-funk outing, but when the piano loop and beat commence in "Still D.R.E.," it's obvious Dre is still light years ahead of the rest. The seemingly disparate styles of guest artists MC Ren, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem are all unified by Dre's singular musical vision.
What makes this record stand out from any other gangsta rap recording before it, however, are the flashes of brutal honesty that pepper the lyrics ("What's the Difference"). Something about Dre's persona and delivery softens his often misogynistic, violent ...

Forever Music Review Average Rating: (4.2 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews What is the world coming too? Only in the America (and a few other provinces) can an individual make a fortune off of something he/she knows absolutely nothing about, nor has any talent for whatsoever. Music just so happens to be this outlet that complete numskulls who know very little, to nothing about music or the music industry; can make millions off of talentless efforts. They make the million dollar video, and they get every single radio station and the nation to play their garbage every other minute. While the more talented individuals get no radio play, nor video play. Yes they have videos, but noone will play them. The real will rise to the top. This sorry album is just one example of mediocrity gone platinum..or going platinum. I don't even want to give it 1 star but I have to. Submitted by a reviewer (Tennessee) Was This Review Helpful? What did you expwct? This is Puff Daddy! Fake Ass Sample-Everything Mr.Millionaire. I will admit one thing, unlike his debut album there are some songs on this album that are not sampled. That isnt too say this isnt the same old fake-wannabe-rapper Puff. Submitted by a reviewer (Boston, MA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
