This is a must have cd!
This cd is the best blues cd of the 90's.Everything on this disc is from the heart, deep and bluesy.Blue Sky and Unsatisfied being the two best of the disc.
As to why Ian did not continue on in this vein,it has nothing to do with believing his own press. The third disc was refused by the label because it was a real rootsy, less accessible disc,so Ian released it on his own label. Not one to be held back by a label,Ian has released many different things over the years, but they are far removed from what he was before.
Thats not to say they are bad,as one review says. They are in a direction which Ian has been hinting at for years.
Bottom line is ...MUST BUY!Everything in his catalogue are a real treat, but if you are closeminded...dont say you weren't told

GREAT ALBUM, BUT...
The previous review asked how this guy didn't hit it big.
It's true, this is a great album. Very soulful, great musicianship; the whole package.
Unfortunately, Ian Moore began to believe his own good press, and it swelled his head. He didn't hit it big because the music is bad, but because he developed a reputation as being someone ridiculously hard to work with.
As for the album, though, it's one of my favorites...

Inexplicably overlooked!
Please listen and explain to me why this guy didn't hit it big with this cd.
To me he is a cross between Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and Robin Trower. And (I know this will be semi-sacriligous in hard blues circles) better songwriting than any of those dudes.
He's got it all. Soulfull voice. Guitar Genius. Great Band. Great Lyrics. Variety of tempo.
How did he not hit it big?
Sadly, Ian has since moved on to jazzier , slower, softer blues and (As far as I can tell) this is his only hard-blues album.
