5 stars The Best Canon
Pachelbel's Canon in D Major is one of the best known classical themes, and can be found on a variety of recordings. The best CD by far is with The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leonard Slatkin. The sound is superb, the performance is lush, and the rest of the disc contains wonderful companion pieces.
