Perhaps the most pop-oriented and calmest of the early Challengers LPs (though not by much) in terms of material selection. Collectors will be interested in one of the four CD bonus cuts, "Lead Foot," an early version of "K-39." ~ Richie Unterberger

One of the most popular of the early Southern Californian surf bands, drummer Richard Belvy formed The Challengers after he left The Belairs. Sundazed brings you this release from 1963 with the bonus tracks 'Stick Shift', 'Road Runner', 'Lead Foot' (early version) and 'Rev-up'. 1994.

5 stars !!Apache is Excellent!!!
I bought this CD , exclusively for one song : "APACHE" , which is excellently interpreted by The TYPICAL SURFERS MUSIC THE CHALLENGER, the rest of the Cd I'm not really interested due to my particular taste for the song "APACHE", but is good surfer music, although it is not my favorite
