Russian Orthodox choral chanting
If it ain't low, it ain't Russian Orthodox chant. Simply stated, the "Basso Profondo from Old Russia" CD excels. From the opening dissonance of the solo cantor, to the peaceful chants and closing folk tunes, the Orthodox Singers Male Choir did a fine job. The only negative would be the fact that everything is in the same key. Has it always been so with this music?

Universal chants
What I loved in this cd is that anybody can love it. Those chants put in you in a mystic mood and if you close your eyes, you almost can see what's not to see, lol. The problem is I can' t find the lyrics which is too bad. For all the fans of low voices. I, myself, come from the rock and gothic scene... A good way to discover classical music.
