The Expanded Edition of BRIDGE OF SIGHS includes five bonus tracks from a live radio broadcast from the Record Plant, Los Angeles, California in 1974.
When Robin Trower left Procul Harum in 1971, he opted for a slightly less velvet-draped sound, basing his new songs on bluesy riffs and gritty vocals. This second solo album is arguably his best, and definitely his most popular, going gold and providing charting hits like the intense title ballad and the churning, funky "Too Rolling Stoned." The 2007 reissue contains eight new tracks--classic John Peel live sessions from 1975 that capture Trower's trio at the smoking height.
Out-of-print in the US. Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the British Blues/Psychedelic guitar player's seminal 1974 album featuring five live bonus tracks: 'Lady Love', 'Bridge Of Sighs', 'Too Rolling Stoned', 'Day Of The Eagle' and 'Little Bit Of Sympathy'. Although Trower forged his own style and became an FM radio staple during his heyday in the '70s, his guitar technique was often compared to Jimi Hendrix's unique talents. Constant comparisons to Hendrix may have overshadowed his own abilities, but Trower forged on, releasing albums filled with his amazing fretwork. EMI.
Includes liner notes by Jon Sutherland.
Digitally remastered by Bob Norberg (Capitol Mastering).
Personnel: Robin Trower (guitar); James Dewar (vocals, bass); Reg Isidore (drums).
Producer: Matthew Fisher.

This cd is so unbelievable to listen to over and over....listen to it late at night, in bed with the lights out and you'd swear Hendrix was there too! Good Album! I like Trower's In City Dreams better, but this is very good, except for the last few "Bonus Tracks". These are live recordings, and the music suffers somewhat, but overall, worth the money. Submitted by baghdaddysmt (Baghdad, Iraq) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Oh what an awesome CD I can remember first hearing Robin Trower, back in '74 when my older brother came home with an LP "Bridge Of Sighs" Being a drummer since I was twelve, this LP opened new avenues of "chops" for me. Well, my brother took the LP with him when he moved and I was stuck with a cassette! UGH. This recording, however, made feel like I was back in '75 on the front row in Dallas all over again! What awesome sound and selection! THIS CD ROCKS! Submitted by reytech (Fort Worth, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Rock - N - Roll at its Finest Granted the CD was done 30 years ago, but it makes you remember when 3 guys could knock you over with hard-driving, straight-forward rock n roll. The additional 5 live track really add to a solid classic. What are you waiting for, experience the 2nd British Invasion. Submitted by a reviewer (Pittsburgh, PA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$7.19 Recorded in 1971, shortly before guitarist Peter Frampton left the band, ROCKIN' presents Humble Pie live at New York City's Fillmore East. | | Wishbone Ash Argus CD (1972) Bonus Tracks; Remastered; Expanded Edition
Bridge Of Sighs
$6.59 On its third album, Wishbone Ash doesn't mess with its formula--as before, this long running British rock institution purveys a mix of blues, folk, and Yes- style riffs mated to endearingly cosmic lyrics. The songs here, however, are considerably more focused and well crafted than on the band's previous efforts, and the harmony singing is delightful.
As always, the band's basis is the tag team guitars of Andy Powell and Ted Turner. Fans of this duo's mix of Yardbirds- and ...
| | Mike Bloomfield Super Session CD (1968) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Bridge Of Sighs
$6.75 A surprise best-seller when it was first released, this mostly improvised pairing of singer/keyboardist/producer Al Kooper with two major guitar heroes of the day sounds fascinating all these years later precisely because of the distance of time--nobody makes records like this any more. The material runs the gamut from folk pop (covers of Donovan and Dylan), to blues ("Albert's Shuffle," "You Don't Love Me"), to heady jams ("His Holy Modal Majesty"), to big-band jazz ("Harvey's Tune").
All the tunes make effective templates for the kind off-the-cuff music-making that in less capable hands might have resulted in simple noodling. In fact, although Bloomfield and Stills don't play together on any of the cuts (Bloomfield played on one side of the original LP, Stills on the other), all three principals get off lots of good licks and producer Kooper has some interesting tricks up his sleeve, as in the over-the-top phasing he lavishes on "You Don't Love Me." The only real disappointment here is that Stills, a far better singer than Kooper, never opens his mouth.
Those familiar with the Live Adventures album these two recorded at the Fillmore West know how brilliant they could be on stage, and here's another gem, recorded at the Fillmore East this time and featuring 'One Way Out,' 'It's My Own Fault' (with Bloomfield trading licks with Johnny Winter...Johnny was signed to Columbia after ...

Bridge Of Sighs
$8.55 Dinosaur Lightning is the name for the music group that performs (mostly) the rock/pop/other compositions of Keith Burgun. The Brachiosaur really is the main influence. But then again you cannot really stress enough how important those fierce lightning bolts flying through the sky can be to an artist, because its like BOOM and anyone who got hit just plain died, no kidding. But Brachiosaurs really were the influence for all the music, and a few other dinos who were wise enough to grow a pair and act like Brachiosaurs. Lightning is also awesome though. We sound EXACTLY like joni mitchell and EXACTLY like kylie minogue. It has been noted that we are a TOTAL RIP OFF of Nine Inch Nails, Beck, Radiohead, the Beatles and Nobuo Uematsu. The following bands are suing us for copyright ...
