L.D. 50 is the scientific measurement used to determine the relative lethal dosage of a toxic substance. Thus, it's an entirely appropriate title for the major-label debut of these decidedly toxic troublemakers.

While these heavy rockers churn out gut-wrenching guitar riffs, pounding drumbeats, and snarling vocals aplenty, they're far from humorless. The pulverizing effect of their sonic attack is undeniable, but they're essentially clowns at heart. This is discernible not only in their Kiss-in-the-21st century makeup, but also in the light-hearted sci-fi themes that crop up, as on the 2001-inspired "Monolith." And while Mudvayne charges fiercely enough to give any grindcore band a run for its money, they incorporate enough interesting electronic production touches to keep L.D. 50 from ever getting aurally monotonous.

5 stars FACT-BEST BAND IN THE WORLD
Im proud to be a fan of the best band in the world. They have so much talent its un beleiveble. watch the dvd you'll understand the drummer is incredible. How tight and technical these guys are just amazes me. An extremely powerful album the best album in the world to date. its not all about shouting and screaming just listen to it properly and youll realise

5 stars AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!
this cd is amazing. so few "rock" bands today have absoulty no musical talent (not nameing any names falloutboy) and this album really puts a ton of spotlight on matt, ryan, greg, which is awsome. best songs are under my skin dig nothing to gein, -1,, internal primates forever... ok you get the idea. anyway pick this cd up you will not be dissapointed.

I used to be one of those "Slipknot's the only good band out there" kind of guys, but now I enjoy pretty much everything so I decided to check this one out again. I was truly amazed at how original this album is and it gets better the more you listen to it. Even if you're not a Nu Metal fan, or even hate Nu Metal, I advise you to give this one a try. It's quite eerie throughout and will stick in your mind for a long time. Three thumbs up.

If you like KISS you sure do love Mudvayne... Their music equals their make-ups, they rocking hard and I think Fred Durst should learned good growls from Kud the vocalist !
