(3 Customer Reviews)
Digitally remastered by Tom Coyne (Sterling Sound, New York, New York).
Sade crept up on the music market when they were least expecting it. The surprise hit 'Your Love Is King' was a very mature record for the singles market and one that opened the door to smooth soul-based pop. This album proved that she was no fluke and it became one of the most acclaimed debuts of all time. Sade rode out the publicity and coped with everything; for once the music did the talking. 'Smooth Operator' put her back in the pop charts but it was the overall class and confidence of the whole album that makes it so darn good. Her reading of Timmy Thomas's 'Why Can't We Live Together' is a highlight.
Also available as a 3-pack with PROMISE and LOVE DELUXE.

Ooh Lah Lah It's SADE! She has the sexiest voice on the planet. Plain and simple. No one I mean no one can top her vocals. Smooth and sultry and every song just ooozes with sensuality all over the place. Buy this CD and you will be hooked on SADE for the rest of your life. Pick up all her other CD's here. They are sure to please you. She is definitely a "SMOOTH OPERATOR". I rest my case. Submitted by Johnny (I live in a van down by the river) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Hot, cool, classy sex This album is dripping with dark, primal lust. If I hear just one line of any of these songs, I gotta hear the whole song, the whole cd!, or I'll be pissed. I compare every new singer songwriter performer wanna be to Sade and they always lose. Can't believe we're on the same planet, but never will meet.... Diamond Life songs
$14.45 Six months after the nation voted him Britain's first Pop Idol, Will Young faces a much more daunting prospect than singing in front of Simon Cowell: the pressure of releasing one of the most eagerly awaited debut pop albums of recent times. Considering fellow TV popstars Hear'Say took just six weeks to record their rather forgettable first effort, the fact that From Now On hasn't been rush-released bodes well. Not that you'd know it from its first three singles. Simon Cowell is undoubtedly a shrewd businessman who knows where the money is, but his artistic merit is virtually zero. Young proved himself to be one of the most gifted and unique vocalists a U.K. talent show has seen, which makes it even more remarkable that he was lumbered with material that could have finished his career before it began. "Evergreen," the fastest debut selling single of all time, can be slightly forgiven. A cover of a Westlife album track, it's corny and it's clichéd, but its faux-inspirational lyrics and "stand up for the key change" power ballad sound has become the template for every talent contest winner from Kelly Clarkson to Leona Lewis. Its lesser known double A-side, "Anything Is Possible," is less successful. Written by Cathy Dennis, presumably on an off day, it's a limp and lifeless attempt at smooth R&B, a direction Young has unsurprisingly decided not to attempt ever since. "Light My Fire," a cover of the José Feliciano interpretation rather than the Doors original is far more suited to Young's soulful vocals and indeed, it's the first time we get to hear his now trademark ad-libs, but it's a lazy and uninspired choice that seems designed purely ...

| | Kaeli Jensen Kaeli CD (2008)
Diamond Life music CDs
$17.75 Kaeli Jensen, singer/songwriter/composer, has spent the past few years refining her skills while performing locally at several different venues and showcases. She is now being requested to do shows out of state as well. This summer she has been requested to perform at the Cherry Hill Resort in Kaysville, Utah. She was asked to do a performance at Brigham Young Historical Park in Salt Lake City for their Summer Concert Series of 2007. Many vie for this much-coveted spot with its central, downtown location and its very exclusive practices for hiring performers. At an autumn showcase in 2006, Kaeli was chosen out of several artists to do a performance and interview for local television station CW30 and their program, “Spotlight Utah.â€Time and time again, Kaeli’s talent rises above other artists giving her opportunities to perform. In July of 2006, the South Salt Lake Events Manager Tim Williams chose Kaeli Jensen above the multitude of other artists desiring to perform at their fourth of July celebration, Freedom Festival, to perform a forty-five minute set with her original music, including the emotional and heartfelt song, American to Me, an original song written by Kaeli as a reaction to the 9/11 tragedy. Her song shows the maturity and depth of passion Kaeli possesses and it expresses how deeply it affected her life while passing by most other young people her age.Ms. Jensen has been performing since she was a young girl and has participated in performances with such prestigious artists as Kurt Bestor, Peter Breinholt, Sam Cardon, and Jessie Clark Funk. Even now at her current age, still considered young by industry standards, Kaeli could easily be considered a seasoned performer, traveling to such faraway places as Japan as a featured soloist. Kaeli captured the attention of the Salt Lake City Olympic Committee, along with Kenny Ortega, who included her in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2002 Olympics. With eleven years piano instruction and six years of songwriting, Kaeli has produced her first self-titled demo CD filled with melodies straight from her heart. It is available for retail sale and a big hit ...
