A middle-aged, West Virginia female tornado, The Amazing Delores combines falsetto shrieks, banshee wails, gravel-throated ranting and free-form harmonica blowing that could only come from the same neck of the woods as rockabilly wildman Hasil Adkins. Delores's debut features titles like "Rats in My Trailer," "Stop Messin' with My Mind," "Do the In and Out" and "Stop Testifyin' to the Devil," all with their own autobiographical bent. If there's such a thing as an over-40 riot grrrl, then The Amazing Delores is definitely it. ~ Cub Koda
