On their lone studio album, 1998's BROKEN STAR, Chicago-based the Broadways sound for all the world like the heart-on-the-sleeve--though, significantly, not emo--socio-political punk rock group they were. Broken Star CD music Though the Broadways' music lacks the immediacy and hooks of the best punk rock, the group's thoughtful lyrics and droll humor--on full display in songs such as "I Hear Things Are Just as Bad Down in Lake Erie"--make for a rewarding listen for fans of the genre.
Broken Star album. On Long Hard Ride, The Marshall Tucker Band's country influences come to the fore, resulting in a strong record that failed to gain many hits.
