| | Felt Crumbling The Antiseptic Beauty/Splendour Of Fear CD - Import Felt Discography of CDs
This collection contains the first two Felt albums, CRUMBLING THE ANTISEPTIC BEAUTY and THE SPLENDOUR OF FEAR--in actuality, two six-track mini albums. Both are built around the gorgeous guitar work of Maurice Deebank and Lawrence Hayward (who only goes by his first name). Most of these tracks feature long instrumental passages, the guitars augmented by spare drumming, with occasional vocals from Lawrence, who talks/sings, in the manner of Lou Reed.
CRUMBLING's highlights include "Evergreen Dazed," a beautiful instrumental, the stately "Birdman," highlighting Lawrence's singular vocal style (detached, tired, and bored, a combination more engaging in practice than you'd imagine), and "I Worship the Sun," which emphasizes Deebank's complex and sinuous guitar lines. As good as CRUMBLING is, SPLENDOUR is better if only because of the improved production. Standouts include the slow-burning instrumental "The Optimist and the Poet," and "Mexican Bandits," a gorgeous track built on stunning guitar interplay and rolling drums. This, as with most of Felt's records, is an essential purchase for fans of truly alternative music.
Two classic EPs from the indie pop act featuring singer/songwriter Lawrence Hayward (Denim/Go-Kart Mozart), 'Crumbling the Antiseptic Beauty' (1981) and 'The Splendour of Fear' (1984), together on one CD. Crumbling The Antiseptic Beauty/Splendour Of Fear album
$14.29 Over the course of 15 albums and a 30-year career, Overkill have proven time and time again that they're one of the most relentlessly enduring bands in thrash metal. While modern bands have been taking metal into an increasingly esoteric direction, Ironbound shows that sometimes the old ways are the best ways. While the album may not have any studio trickery or meandering prog epics, what it does ...

Crumbling The Antiseptic Beauty/Splendour Of Fear songs
$14.79 Reviews & Info Trevor Horsfall!.expatriate British bluesman now calling Canada home is the author of a fresh, diverse and highly charged Southern Rock Blues CD..."Feel the Heat". An anecdotal collection of songs based on his experiences while touring the southland, the style ranges from country blues with an edge through to power packed, raunchy blues rock. Comparisons are made to artists JJ Cale, Johnny Winter through to Jimi Hendrix. "Feel The Heat" has been released to great fan fare and reviews in both North America and Europe. Horsfall draws his influences from Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, Mark Knoppler, Dave Gilmore, Billy Gibbons, Johnny Winters, Stevie Ray Vaughn and many others. Raised in Blackpool, England, a performing hub for bands such as The Beatles and Stones, the guitar seemed like a natural part of life to Trevor. Being a veteran of the early British Rock & Blues revolution, Horsfall, or "Trevor Luv" as he is affectionately known in the southern states, has spent years honing his craft while touring North America and particularly the Deep South. Enjoying air time in Europe, Australia and the United States, "Feel the Heat" is a must listen for any Blues Rock/Southern Rock enthusiast. _________________________________________________________Horsfall's Feel the Heat is a blues infused fret driven collection of songs that over the course of 40 minutes and change covers quite a bit of musical territory. I should start off by stating right up front this disc took me a few spins to appreciate Trevor has one of those voices that took me a few listens to peg. He reminds me a little bit of John Hiatt mixed with bits of Chris Rea . What Trevor Horsfall really brings to the table is his playing: He is a very solid player and when he cuts loose he really is a hell of a picker and Trevor is smart enough as a singer to stay in his comfort zone as a vocalist. There are a few killer tracks on Feel the Heat, and they give the entire disc a lift. "Lone Star Train" is a great groove complete with sound effects. Trevor's fret work brings to mind Knopfler from "Brothers in Arms". "Slippin' and Sliding'" is a smokin' tune and my favourite on the ...
