| | Blink 182 Buddha CD Blink 182 Discography of CDs
(15 Customer Reviews)
Blink-182's first full-length album, Buddha, may be a little generic, but it's nevertheless a solid skatepunk record that illustrates the group's flair for speedy, catchy hooks and irreverent humor. There are a few weak cuts, but on the whole, it's a promising debut. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

| | Blink 182 Enema Of The State CD (1999) Enhanced CD
Buddha CD music
$10.55 Blink 182 embodies all the rock & roll verities, from savage, power chord-driven, guitar-bass-and-drums attack to a carefully cultivated tastelessness (see album title and cover art), bolstered by plenty of attitude ...
| | Blink 182 Mark, Tom & Travis Show: The Enema Strikes Back CD (2000)
Buddha music CDs
$10.59 This is a limited edition packaged in a digipack with concert booklet.
Recorded live at The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco, California on November 4, 1999 and at The Universal Amphitheater on November 5, 1999.
A live run through of Blink 182's greatest hits, recorded before adoring California crowds, this album is probably the best way to experience these endearing pop-punkers' infectious three or four chords Green Day-ish sonic assault. Highlights include the uncharacteristically melancholy "Adam's Song," "Family Reunion" (a ...
| | Blink 182 Cheshire Cat CD (1994) (Import) Reissue; United Kingdom
Buddha songs
$7.35 After releasing a number of 7" singles over the years, Blink 182 offers CHESHIRE CAT, its full-length album. The San Diego based group (that started out as El Cautro and the Caj'ones) has honed its playing, songwriting, and surfboarding skills to create a fun record for all. Punky and melodic, CHESHIRE CAT is a great party album. The pace rarely lets up and the songs don't wander too far stylistically, but nothing exceeds ...
| | VH1 Presents The Corrs Live In Dublin CD (2002)
Buddha album
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, ...
| | Blink 182 Blink-182 CD (2003) Enhanced CD
Buddha CD music
$12.25 Additional personnel includes: Robert Smith (vocals); Ken Andrews (various instruments); Roger Joseph Manning, Jr., Jon Morrical (keyboards).
In the world of emo and pop-punk, 2003 not only found Blink 182 qualifying for the early bird special, but the creators of a self-titled outing that represents a big step in musical maturity for a band best known for serial nudity and a jokey, skate-punk attitude. Rest assured, this trio hasn't lost its taste for serious riffing and catchy-as-all-get-out harmonies, as evidenced by the thumping "Go," the jittery "Stockholm Syndrome," and ...

| | Neon Meate Dream Of A Octafish: A Tribute To Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band CD (2003)
Buddha CD music
$11.49 Tribute albums are always tricky business; the dilemma is usually summed up by artists either being overly reverential, or in reinterpreting the song they manage to destroy it. When the tribute is to an artist as singular and idiosyncratic as Captain Beefheart, the stakes go up because the nature of the work doesn't generally lend itself to reinterpretation. Don Fleming and Dacaer Pinga & Black Alaska avoid this by performing tributes that weren't written by Don VanVliet, although both songs are more a tribute to Beefheart's experimental spirit than anything resembling his music. As a general rule, the more faithful renditions here are the ones that work the best (Mike Watt, Jad Fair), although there are exceptions, like Miss Murgatroid's version of "Neon Meate Dream of an Octafish." The ones that really stumble simply take some lyrics and graft them to excessive skronk, as in the case of Vig ESP and Dapper. Neon Meate Dream of a Octafish is quite a mixed bag, with tracks that range from excellent to awful. This one is for Beefheart completists and fans of the performing bands only. ~ Sean Westergaard

| | Los Pleneros De La 21 Para Todos Ustedes CD (2005)
Buddha music CDs
$13.69 Para Todos Ustedes is a successful fusion of some traditional elements of Puerto Rican music with more contemporary influences. Specifically, it draws heavily from the bomba rhythmic and percussive style, and the call-and-response-oriented plena topical song form, though it also bears the marks of salsa and jazz. It's a lengthy (75 minutes) album, which gives the musicians a chance to offer considerable variety within their loose ensemble format, though a good-natured, upbeat mood is maintained throughout. The shifting percussive rhythms might be the most distinctive feature, while call-and-response vocals also take central position on songs like "Angelito (Little Angel)." Combined with the quick, roving, jazzy guitar patterns, this might ...
| | Escalators Moving Staircases CD (1983) Import
Buddha songs
$10.59 While the Escalators were formed by two former members of U.K. psychobilly act the Meteors, their first and only album, Moving Staircases, shows they were capable of a lot more than the tacky horror show play-acting that was their former band's trademark. While there's a faint hint of rockabilly visible around the edges of the Escalators' music, for the most part Moving Staircases ...
