the best album of 1995
absolutely excellent. My favorite album in the A-Ha discogrophy. You will not stumble upon this at your local record store and if you do it wont be cheap. Every one should hear this album , its so well written,produced and performed. Buy it and you will forget what it cost as soon as you put it on.

Morten Harket stretches his Wings.
Morten has a beautiful voice and he tries out some different styles on this solo album. Brodsky Tune and East-Timor are not the usual A-ha style at all, A Kind of Christmas Card seems a little early Bowie-esque in my opinion. Spanish Steps, Half in Love Half in Hate and Lay Me Down Tonight are all gorgeous and lush songs, but Los Angeles is my absolute favorite. It is a haunting tune full of longing and the dying embers of an old love.
I recomend this on the strength of Mortens voice alone, but the songs are well crafted and while they are not all strong, they are well worth a listen.

a truly amazing find
incidentally,I found my copy of wild seed in the argyle street branch of hmv a few years ago, and afyer listening to it, it totally changed my whole perception of life in general, and it really made me question my existence,but its easily the best album I have ever heard in my life to date; morten has the ability to touch a person@s soul with his voice.I loved the los angeles track, but the most poignant track for me would have to be'ready to go home' which reminds us all that we're human, and that's a truly wonderful achievement; to reach out and touch humanity through the medium of music. full marks!

Morten rises above his critics
I've heard it said that Morten couldn't last as a solo artist without Pal and Mags' production credits. Wrong! This is an exceptional album with something for everyone. "Tell me what you see" sort of borders a trip-hop feel because of the beat. "Los Angeles" is about as mellow as a cool summer night on the beach. These two songs alone are worth the five star rating. The other songs are great too. They give Morten his space while still giving a presence of the A-ha albums "Memorial Beach" and "East of the Sun, West of the Moon". I recommend this album to anybody who listens to music.....

In my top ten
This is an exceptional album. Although Morten did not write many big A-ha tunes, he is definately an experienced songwriter. This album is very unique in both writing an production, it is definately unlike anything that I have heard. And with the addition of Morten's singing voice (one of the most rich of the genre) this album is simply incredible. I should also mention that it won almost every major reward at the Norweigan music awards. By the way the album was released in 1995 not 1998.
