There are few musicians whose music has indisputably advanced humanity. Reggae figurehead Bob Marley--a songwriter, poet, activist, and visionary--is one of them. The idea that a single-disc collection could represent the depth, breadth, and power of Marley's achievement is far-fetched, but LEGEND makes an excellent attempt. Every single one of its tracks is outstanding, and the artist's different faces--revolutionary ("Get Up Stand Up"), romantic ("Is This Love"), ...

Barao Vermelho Ao Vivo songs
$8.79 The Dave O Show: What is The Dave O Show? It is an ongoing process of creation.Who is the host of The Dave O Show? Dave O....The Dave O! After 10 years as a recording artist, professional songwriter, entertainer, actor, voice actor and studio vocalist Dave O finally decided to go solo.Dave O spent the first 24 years of his life in California. Some rumor he is from Sacramento. One thing we know about Sacramento is: ''You can take the boy out of Sac but you can't take the Sac out of the boy''. Dave began singing in the morning sun that shown through the living room window when he was about one and a half. Dave's mother recorded hours and hours of his early childhood singing. Dave's father accidentally erased every note. With a natural inclination toward music Dave took up piano at an early age and gave it up a couple of years later in order to devote his time to sports, girls, and mischief sometime around the age of 10. Always blessed and cursed with an amazingly quick wit, gregarious disposition and short attention span Dave was a natural class clown. During his teens having tried and quit every musical instrument several times Dave focused on making people laugh and having a good time. Finally, at the age of 21 while attending college in Santa Barbara, Dave was overtaken by the passion of learning to play the guitar. He picked it up and began writing songs immediately within a couple of months of being able to make chords. After graduating from college and working in the corporate world for a couple of years Dave came to the realization that this way of life was boring, repetitive and characterized by an absence of any real adventure or exploration. Dave knew he wanted to do music for a living but he didn't know how and his playing ability was still in diapers. One thing he did have was the courage to follow his heart. At age 24 Dave moved to Tokyo, Japan with no job, no place arranged to stay permanently and no idea what he wanted out of life except to make music and have amazing experiences that would make his life ''interesting''. Dave stayed with the older brother of a childhood friend, Jon, when arriving in Tokyo. Within a few days Jon and Dave discovered an amazing creative connection between themselves. Within a year the two were hosting a radio show in Tokyo and living in Kamakura ( a beach town an hour south of Tokyo which is a kind of Santa Cruz of Japan). Dave and Jon formed an alternative rock band and 3 years later were signed to Tower Record's indie label Gianormous. Shortly after that, the band was signed to major japanese record labels for the next 6 years. During that time Dave simultaneously formed a unique all american membered hip hop based group that rapped and sang all it's songs in Japanese. Having sold almost 80,000 records with both groups over a 6 year period in Tokyo, the record companies closed it's doors to both bands mainly due to a drop in sales in record stores caused by the internet at the turn of the 21st Century. Dave spent the next 2 years writing songs as a freelance songwriter for various japanese companies. 1 year was also spent costarring on a popular TV show for kids with one of Japan's top comedians. After 10 years in Japan Dave finally got ''home sick'', despite the fact that he was still living his dream and ''making it'' in the entertainment and song writing industry in Tokyo. The same drive that took him there was now calling him home. Dave has been waiting to create something to share with his home country since the day he picked up that ...
