(2 Customer Reviews)
Judas Priest is the definitive heavy metal band, determined to keep the metal banner flying high. They have never conformed to a popular style, and have been bashing out metal anthems for over 20 years. After the departure of vocalist Rob Halford, the Priest enlisted Tim "Ripper" Owens to fill the slot. The resulting album was JUGULATOR; this live recording from that tour is a powerhouse of metal dynamite.
MELTDOWN covers the entire Priest spectrum, from "Diamonds & Rust" to "Electric Eye" to "Blood Stained." K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton's double guitar attack provide the classic riffage and solos, never slowing the pace. The axe-wielding duo sounds as tight as when they first began destroying British stages eons ago. But it is The Ripper who carries the this band into the new millennium with an incredible range. Working the crowd into a frenzy, Owens takes classics like "The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)" to previously unreachable heights. If you are a fan of heavy rock or the Priest, this album is strongly recommended. They continue to show every band that follows them how it's done. All hail the Priest!

'98 Live Meltdown Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) Ripper replaces Rob!! HAlford has been imitated but now finally duplicated, Ripper does all the Priest classics perfectly!! Great record!! Submitted by a reviewer (Box 64 Chapel's Cove, NL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Best live album ever! YES! This live album has it all. Tracks from most JP albums (except Rocka Rolla, Point Of Entry, Turbo, and Ram It Down which is why it has 4 stars.), great feel of the crowd, and loud bone crushing metal delivered by new frontman Tim "Ripper" Owens. This is my personal favorite live album because of the great production and variety of songs. If it were my choice I would have added another CD to make sure all Priest fans are satisfied with the song selection but if you don't like Tim Owens much and want Halford back, THEN GET THIS CD!!! It's different than Jugulator or Demolition, Ripper is better live than in the studio and this album will not at all be a disapointment to you. If you don't own this then you don't know what your missing. Submitted by williamje2002 (San Antonio, TX) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Pop-ska rockers No Doubt make their long-awaited return with the follow-up to the hugely successful TRAGIC KINGDOM. The band's fiery dynamic remains intact as vocalist Gwen Stefani's penchant for emotionally charged tales of heartbreak drive the single "Ex-Girlfriend," "Simple Kind Of Life" and "Bath Water." In "The Magic's In The Makeup," Stefani's lyrics speak of yearning to be appreciated beyond surface beauty for who she really is while ...

'98 Live Meltdown songs
$15.19 The defiant, in-your-face outlook of dancehall from the late-'80s onwards is alive and well on DANCEHALL 101, VOLUME 6, which boasts recordings by major dancehall figures such as Buju Banton ("Have Fi Get Yu Tonight"), Shabba Ranks ("Trailer Load a Girls"), Nardo Ranks ("Burrup"), Tiger ("Ram Dance Hall"), Beenie Man ("Big Up and Trust") and Sean Paul ("Infiltrate"). In fact, the lineup on this compilation often reads like a who's who of dancehall. There's some aggression ...
