(1 Customer Review)
Kylie Minogue's INTIMATE AND LIVE album features 21 tracks, including "Breathe," "Dancing Queen," "Dangerous Game," "Did It Again," "Locomotion," "Better The Devil You Know," and "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?"
This two-disc set was recorded during Kylie's Impossible Princess tour. While most of the newer tracks are solid and sound close to the album versions, her soft dance-pop version of the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" is downright awful. Mainly for die-hard collectors, less familiar fans will want to check out a greatest-hits compilation or her 1997 album Impossible Princess. ~ Chris True

Taken from her sold-out Australian tour, it includes red hot versions of her hits 'I Should Be So Lucky' (a jazzy torch rendition!), 'What Do I Have To Do' (with a 4-4 straight ahead rock beat) & 'Confide In Me' (acoustic guitar version), plus covers of The Clash's 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go', ABBA's 'Dancing Queen' and,of course, her smash take on Little Eva's 'Loco-motion'. 21tracks total. 1998 Mushroom Records release. Double slimline jewelcase.

Editor: Claire Lewis. Intimate And Live Music Review Average Rating: (3 out of 5 stars) Kylie Live A live cd from a pop performer?? who would actually dare to take such a drastic feat? I mean pop artists usually can't sing that well, the excitement is gone without the visual flair that is presented on stage, and usually the crowd is screaming so loud you don't even hear the awful singing. That's where Intimate and Live steps in. Intimate and live is a really good album, by no means a classic, and doesn't cover kylie's last albums, Light years and fever, but is still worth a spin. Too far is the album/show's opener. It's a solid track, and kylie seems to be doing good but this track seems to be lacking because something had to have been going on to lend to the dramatic song. It's still good, but the album version is better. What do i have to do is not one of kylie's strongest song's to begin with, and to turn it into a rock-ish song was a little wise, but not too much. Some kind of bliss is a great song sung live, and put yourself in my place is nice, but still put yourself has a sense that her voice is thin and frail and is bowing out and that the instruments are going to override our little aussie. For forgivin fans, it's alrite, but it's not the last time on this cd that this wil happen. Breathe is sung incredibly, and tha instruments are very strong, this time not over peroforming, and take me with you is so outrageously majestic, you feel the passion there in totality. I should be so lucky is a kylie classic, but is nothing nice here, turned into a rodk type song, this version is terrible is probbaly one of the songs that just should be skipped entirely. Dancing queen...what pop artist hasnt sung this song? It's generic, and on top of that again a culprit of kylie being outperformed by her musicians. dangerous game is ok, but seems outrageously tread bare, and a little overly dramatic. A good ballad but not one of her best. Cowboy style is where the album really picks up. Altogether one of kylie's stronger songs to begin with this song is performed great and is one of the best songs on the album. This is the end of disc 1. in end disc one really only has cowboy style, and a few others to offer. Disc 2 is much much brighter. Disco 2 starts off with step back in time, its a great song done in a rock version and lots of fun. Say hey, one of impossible princess's darker songs is performed excellentyl and doesnt sound any different from the album version. Free, a song previously unreleased, shows kylie is definetly live and lots of fun. Great song, and leads into drunk. This is probably the best song on the album, because its simple so dynamic its graceous. Did it again is again another one of the albums standouts, and Limbo is another ambitous and greatly performed. Schocked isnt one of kylie's best songs, in fact its one of her worst, right there with tears on my pillow, but is performed to ok effect here. It shows signs of one of the albums msot dissappointing moments. Confide in me is to this day considered to be one of kylie's best ballads, here it is outrageously sung, and kylie is so outrageously outperformed by her band, it seems like her band malicously felt like showing her inability to be operatic, but still has a great voice. This song is the albums most dissappointing moment since it couldve been great but is outrageously bad. Locomotion is fun, but still its not perofmred up to par with the osng. Sould i stay or should i go is a complete pass song, and Better the devil you know it is performed magnificently. Altogether, its much better than a live album from most other people as far as the pop world. It has many many flaws, and is far from perfect, but is an average album and fun, but unless you're a fan. It's a good album, but is definetly not one of kylie's best. Intimate And Live CD music
$12.79 TOTALLY HOT is a 1978 set by soft rock star Olicia Newton-John.
Totally Hot is one of the most fun albums from Olivia Newton John. Total abandon is its trademark, the atmosphere lightened up a bit, and from top to bottom it is one of her most satisfying projects. "Please Don't Keep Me Waiting" is a girl group all grown up. Is it Newton-John's voice or Michael Botticker's synthesizer at the end of the first track? A little jarring for her country audience, but she takes care of them on "Dancin' 'Round and 'Round," a wonderful country-pop tune and quick about face. As with the Let Me Be There release, her name is prominently splashed on the cover and the tan background ...

By 1997, much of the pop music landscape had changed. The music papers were declaring the "Techno Revolution" was on, Oasis and Manic Street Preachers were ruling the charts, and simple dance-pop seemed to be the domain of teenage girls. So what does the dance-pop diva of the '90s do? She recruits Manic Street Preachers' James Dean Bradfield, Sean Moore, and Nicky Wire, starts writing unaided, and completely changes musical direction. ...
