Sauver L'Amour
$6.89 The remastered edition of STREETLIFE SERENADE is an Enhanced CD containing both a full audio program as well as a video clip for the song "Souvenir."
Digitally remastered using 24-bit technology by Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound, New York, New York).
STREETLIFE SERENADE may have been a disappointment to Joel's record company, featuring but one single, "The Entertainer," that barely scraped the Top 40, but it's loaded with songs that came to be signature pieces for the piano man. For years, Joel began his concerts with a piped-in version of the instrumental "The Mexican Connection" and closed them by playing the bittersweet ballad "Souvenir." Another instrumental, the fast and infectious "Root Beer Rag," served as a favorite piano showcase throughout Joel's career, while the snide and clever "The Entertainer" began a career-long obsession with the evils of the pop industry.
Most of the album is about suburbia and its malcontents. While Englishman Elton John, to whom Joel was already being compared, devoted his second major-label album to a concept album about the mythological American West, Joel devoted his to the very real American frontier of strip malls and backyard barbecues in which he grew up. No romanticizing was intended. In case Joel's growing cynicism wasn't already evident, the album's ...
| | Best Of Paolo Conte CD (1998)
Sauver L'Amour
$15.29 Consider him the Anti-Hanson. Paolo Conte's music is guaranteed not to appeal to anyone under the legal drinking age, and that's probably as it should be. This collection of tunes by the Italian singer/songwriter is full of the kind of passion and thoughtfulness that can only come from a long life fully lived. At the age of sixty, Conte, though he'd been known in Europe as a songwriter since the '60s and as a performer since the '70s, was virtually unknown in America, with most of his catalogue available only on import. One listen to this domestic compilation should convert American ears.
Conte can be pigeon-holed any ...

| | Michael Buble It's Time CD (2005) Special Edition
Sauver L'Amour
$11.65 Michael Buble's third major US release (including the mostly live COME FLY WITH ME) stays on message--this young Canadian loves the lush, swaying music of his parents' and grandparents' generations. Buble's albums, however, are much more than mere back-in-the-day exercises. The production and arranging of David Foster (Celine Dion, Josh Groban) is eclectic in a way that firmly places the tunes at the dawn of the 21st century, and, more importantly, Buble possesses the chops and sense of style to re-imagine the adult-contemporary vocal genre in a distinctive manner. In addition to standards by Gershwin and Porter, Buble embraces a variety of sounds, from Motown ("How Sweet It Is") to bossa nova ("Quando, Quando, Quando" with Nelly Furtado) to the Beatles ("Can't Buy Me Love" with a "She Loves You" tag). With his smooth croon and charming persona, Buble is a natural performer, and, for fans of fearlessly romantic and infectiously swinging music, IT'S TIME is a sure bet.
Import version of this out-of-print in the US Special Edition. Young crooner Michael Buble delivers an album of love songs as powerful as chocolate and candlelight. From covers such as Ray Charles' You Don't Know Me' to 'Home', penned by Buble ...

| | Damnzal CD (2007)
Sauver L'Amour
$12.15 DAMNZAL BIOGRAPHY Damnzal prides itself in being a band of three hard playing grrls and one very loud guy, spewing forth a heavy mash of new edge punk/metal tunes that fans of contemporary heavy music would enjoy. The ferocity in the Damnzal songs is confronting and at times quite brutal, yet the band appeals to fans of all “rock” genres because of the diversity in the quality of song-writing and innovation in the approach to writing heavier edged music. The current CD which was mastered by Drew Lavyne (Foo Fighters, RHCP) hits the listener “like a freight train on heat” with infectious riffs and hooks that collide in a mixture of extreme, hardcore and melodic types of metal as well as seventies style punk The band members came together in early 2003 and consists of Tania Pennisi on lead vocals (ex Ruby Doomsday), Paula Condell on lead guitar (ex Velvet Hammer, Spine Of God), Vanessa Payne on bass guitar (ex Ruby Doomsday) and Scott Danson on drums (ex Cyclone Tracy). Each band member has a history within the Australian music industry and each have been actively involved in the scene for several years whether it be in previous musical projects, bands, releasing vinyl/CDs/DVD's, video production, touring, merchandising etc. Previous projects of the band members achieved significant success in their own right. The songwriting is done by lead gutarist, Paula, yet the band members bring in their own influences, helping to create the overall vibe and ambience which personifies the Damnzal philosophy and style. The influences range from extreme, hardcore and melodic types of metal as well as seventies style punk. So the deal is to provide a total experience: a band that is visually and musically confronting............ The self-titled debut CD (Australian release only) which was released late 2004 has received excellent reviews in both Australian and international webzines and street press, and the prior demo songs have managed to chart successfully reaching the top 10 of the metal charts on the mp3 site. The CD is distributed nationally by MGM. It was recorded by friend Chris Gatz at GM Sound Studios on Pro Tools. Mastering courtesy of Crystal Mastering. Damnzal have released a video clip for 'cherry bomb', one of the tracks from the self-titled debut CD. The video was shot by Peter Andrian (Unlimited Vision) who has done extensive work for many Australian artists, including 1200 techniques and DJ Peril. It has already been screened on most of your favourite music shows including Rage, Asylum, Channel V and MTV Aust. The response has been overwhelming! In April 2007, Damnzal signed to Dead Famous (Astral) records worldwide, and will have their CD released in the US with Blastzone/Nightmare and Fontana/Universal in Canada. The new CD has been re-mixed By Mike Puskas and Matt Lefroy at Salt Studios and mastered by Drew Lavyne in New York (Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chilli Peppers) fame, for a release in October. A US tour is currently being planned for Sept. 2008. In the short lifespan of the band, Damnzal has had the pleasure of playing with many bands of note: the highlight obviously being the Pungent Stench (Austria) support gig 2005, but also proud to have played with other local and interstate bands. The band has also managed to attain the 'quiet' attention of various industry people including Alan Griffith (Union Entertainment USA: who manage Nickleback, Cinderella etc) and promoters who have greatly assisted ...
