5 stars World Music Melange
A heady mix of West African music (most notably in "Mumakata"), Indian ragas ("Like That of Sky" features vocal mantras) and traditional jazz. The late Collin Walcott's sitar playing is phenomenal, and he also dished out some delicious hammered dulcimer ("Codona" and "New Light") solos. If you like world music, this album is an excellent addition to your collection
